A passenger on the bus that was dangling off of the bridge falls and lands on the windshield which starts cracking under one man's weight, yet when it falls, Shazam catches and holds it by the windshield which is suddenly strong enough to support the weight of a bus.
An exterior shot of the school is used twice (albeit from a different/lower angle). The give-away is a girl wearing a Batman backpack who runs to the same group of friends in both shots. Then, in a third school shot at the end of the movie, the same group continues walking from where they were, even though that shot was supposed to be a different day.
When Billy Batson is talking to his mom after he reconnects with her, the door behind her changes position several times in the conversation, even though she doesn't move.
When Shazam and Doctor Sivana land on a skyscraper near the end, the floor cracks under their feet, but in the next shot from above it is back to normal.
Billy, in his Shazam form, accidentally rips off his backpack while trying to open it to show Freddy he stole the Superman bullet. Later, Billy is going to school with the same backpack, which appears intact.
Shazam catches the falling bus by pressing his hands against the windshield, which somehow stays intact. It would surely have collapsed under such force.
The bus falls off the bridge and drops maybe 40 feet towards the ground, but is stopped by Shazam by maybe 5 feet from the ground. It doesn't matter that Shazam stopped it from hitting the ground, the stop from hitting Shazam would have caused the same damage to the people in the bus as they would have suffered hitting the ground.
When the hero uses his superspeed to save Mary from being hit by a truck, the impact of a 100 kg indestructible man moving too fast to see would be substantially greater than that of the truck from which she was ostensibly saved. Even if the impact didn't kill her, the G-forces involved in instantly accelerating her from walking speed to superspeed certainly would (inertia is often the first victim of cartoon physics).
While Billy is on the train you can see the SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) name, but the wrong logo. The logo is trademarked and it's likely they didn't secure permission to use it, so they just used a somewhat generic logo of an "S" with arrows on the ends of the letter.
Freddy shoots video of Shazam punching though a column of the abandoned warehouse. The column should have collapsed, causing the part of the ceiling that it was supporting to collapse, but nothing happens.
When the family is stuck at the carnival, Mary says "we separate the sins from the eye, and he's just an old man" yet there is no obvious way Mary could have known they are called sins and what their weakness is, unless she was using the wisdom power she had been granted by sharing Shazam's abilities.
This movie undermines its own premise by claiming that Billy is humanity's only hope because he's "pure in heart" even though he is later shown using his powers for evil by stealing from the ATM. No one ever says Billy is "pure of heart." He even tells the wizard he's not one of the "good, pure people" he's looking for, and he's not sure they exist. The wizard makes Billy humanity's champion because after Sivana steals the Eye of Sin and releases the Seven Deadly Sins, the wizard is now dying, the world is in danger, and there is no time to look for someone better. Billy goes on to do some selfish things with his powers as Shazam, even taking money from an ATM, but while wrong, none of it comes close to the evil of Sivana's actions. Later, Billy demonstrates real heroism and selflessness by saving a bus full of passengers after his showing off causes an accident, by giving himself up when Sivana takes his foster siblings hostage, and by sharing his powers with his foster siblings so they can save the crowd at the winter carnival and defeat Sivana and the Sins.
It makes no sense that child services couldn't find Billy's mom while his little brother Eugene could. Especially considering the fact that she lives a couple blocks away from Billy. Or they did find her, but they refused to tell Billy for some reason. That's most likely the case - the child services people likely saw what kind of person she was/what situation she was in, and didn't want Billy returning to what would obviously be a worse situation than with a kind and loving foster family.
Shazam's suit is clearly padded (Zachary Levi admitted it on Twitter, after first claiming the suit was 100% him).
The Asian female "witness" testifying about the wizard encounter looks directly at the ancient room model then to the right and to the left to the "doctors" when she should actually be looking at her screen (or at best at her webcam), rendering those eye and head movements futile and useless.
Mr Sivana has not aged much if at all between the 40 or so years between the car scene and the board meeting scene.
Billy's mother has not aged at all between the 10 years or so they have been separated.
The story begins in 1974 with Thaddeus shown in his father's Cadillac, which is a 1979-1980 Sedan DeVille model.
After his vision the child Sivana tries to open the rear door of the car but can't because it is child-locked. After the crash though he is able to open it without issue. Many modern cars are designed to unlock their doors in a crash, so that occupants can be rescued; US Patent 9334681B2 releases the child lock, so the occupants can escape, but it wasn't filed until 2015.
When Dr. Sivana was going to confront his father and brother at Sivana Industries, a skyline is shown. The skyline was of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The movie was set in Philadelphia. The name "Sivana Industries" was superimposed on the IDS Center in Minneapolis.
This is supposed to be in Pennsylvania but when they are drinking the beer in front of the store in the window is a sales poster for Nevada lottery tickets.
When Billy enters the subway at 40th Street, the next stop is said to be 30th Street. In reality, there is a stop at 34th Street that is skipped over in the movie. While this might be excusable under the Alternate Reality or Artistic License exceptions, the subway map Billy looks at does include the 34th Street station dot.
Shazam catches a SEPTA number 9 bus from falling from an elevated super-highway. The number nine bus travels only on local streets from Andorra to Center City Philadelphia and at no point is it routed over an elevated roadway.
when Shazam flies over the bridge a 1997 Skoda Octavia and a 1996 Peugeot 406 are shown. the two cars were never sold in Canada although a vehicle not sold new in Canada has to be at least 15 years old with the film takes place in December 2018 and the cars have to be from 2003 or older.
One of the deadly Sins combats Shazam by turning to smoke, so he passes through him, then solidifying to gain the upper hand. The Sins never use this tactic again even when they're getting pummeled by the Shazam family.
The school bullies pull up in a truck. At a sound, they turn around to see the truck is missing. Pressing the key fob, the truck sounds. Several seconds later, the truck falls from the sky. At this point, Shazam has not learned to fly; he would have had to throw the truck up. The sound after the key fob press would have been from further away or Shazam would have had to be flying.
When the gang run away from the cave Shazam picks up one of the kids and runs at hyperspeed but when he stops running the other children are with him.
The wizard imbues Billy with several superhuman powers, yet Shazam clearly lacks some of them at certain times. For example, Shazam is clearly lacking the "courage of Achilles" when he first encounters Dr. Sivana and wants to run from him rather than fight him.
Billy spends a good deal of the movie slowly discovering his abilities and learning to use them competently, yet when he shares his powers with his siblings, they all display mastery of them instantly, so much so that they are able to successfully engage and defeat the seven sins in combat.
