During the last gunfight, the headlights on Sonny's car are shot out. They are working in the next scene.

Sonny's mustache gets longer and shorter throughout the movie. It even changes style at one point.

In the opening nightclub scene, the first shot of Crockett over his shoulder shows, the collar of his white shirt is plainly visible. In the next shot, from the front, the shirt is black.

When the Aryan boss calls to change the final meet location to the shipyard, its still dark. When Tubbs and Crockett drive off to the to the meet, the sky is much lighter. They arrive at the shipyard in pre-dawn darkness.

When Sonny and Ricardo walk on the streets in Haiti on the way to meet Yero in the restaurant, Sonny isn't wearing hair gel. When he walks into the restaurant., his hair is slicked back with gel.

An Adam A500 is used to transport drugs out of Columbia. The characters instructed to transport and deliver 1,000 Kg of drugs. The Adam A500 has an empty weight of 2,427 kg, and a gross weight (fully loaded, including passengers, pilot and fuel) of 3,175 kg. It can only transport 748 Kg, including fuel, passengers, and cargo. They couldn't transport 1,000 kg of drugs in one trip.

At the Cuban nightclub, Sonny and Isabella dance to Quimbara, a song associated with Celia Cruz. At the time, her music was informally banned, and would not have been played at a nightclub.

The aircraft that identifies itself as N1206S is a Beechcraft King Air B200. In real life, N1206S is registered to an Ayres Corporation S2R-600, a single, radial engine aircraft.

When Yero looks at his dossiers for Crockett and Tubbs, their bios are identical.

The black Dodge Charger has a SRT badge on the front grille, meaning it has a 6.1L V8 engine. The side quarter panels say 3.5, which means the car has a V6. The head restraints in the SRT model are stitched and read "SRT 8". This "SRT" doesn't have the decals on the seats, or an SRT spoiler on the trunk.

When the Miami PD's speed boats are heading for the final showdown, Crocket's speed boat's running lights are backwards. The left (port) light should be red, and the right (starboard) light should be green.

When Ricardo is translating the email when they are on the ship, he chooses the origin language as English and the destination language as Spanish. When he presses translate, it translates from Spanish to English.

When Sonny and Isabella are having breakfast in Havana, she tells him her mother was a translator in Angola. Her lips say something else.

When Sonny takes down the Aryan guard outside of the trailer, his rifle is clearly a rubber prop. It clearly bends while he is choking the guard, and wobbles when he stands back up.

When Crockett and Tubbs are driving to meet the chief after their confidential informant jumps in front of the truck, the lights in the bottom of the Ferrari's visor, used to light their faces in the car for the camera, are visible.

When Crockett and Isabella go to Cuba, the shadow of the camera is reflected on the windshield of the boat and on Colin Farrell's shirt.

When Crockett is loading his guns into the trunk of the car and gets a call from Yero, the outline of Colin Farrell's lav mike, wire, and mike head are clearly noticeable through his shirt.

After Trudy is placed in the police car to be taken to the hospital, a crew member is reflected in the window as it drives away.

when Alonzo calls Crockett at Mansion, Alonzo's view is that of Downtown Miami as seen from the 195 causeway, leaving Miami Beach. When Zito is in the chopper, he tells Sonny "He just got on I-95 south, from the I-195 causeway" - which is only (at most) 4 miles from when he first called. Alonzo was driving very fast, and there is no way Sonny & his team could have had the call with Fujima, left Mansion, and gotten up in the chopper in such a short amount of time.

When Crockett and Isabella go to Cuba, they have mojitos at La Bodeguita del Medio. The Bodeguita is in a closed-in neighborhood in Havana Vieja on a small street, about 6 blocks from the nearest docks, and with no ocean or highway view. Yet the ocean and highways are visible in one scene.

Colombia's northernmost peninsula, Guajira is a desert, not the jungle backdrop used to describe the smuggler's airplane. This backdrop would most likely fit the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, where the "Santa Marta Gold" marijuana is produced.

In the opening club scene, Crockett and Tubbs go on the roof of Mansion, on Washington Ave. in Miami Beach. The surrounding view is downtown Miami.

The building Neptune and his women enter when they are supposedly arriving at Mansion is not Mansion, which has a completely different entrance.

During the film's primary shootout, the police bring in snipers, who are located in elevated positions above where the gun battle occurs. Despite having an excellent and unencumbered view and no chance of hitting Crockett or Tubbs, the snipers fire only twice, then stop shooting even when the gun battle looks to be turning against the police.

When Isabella and Jesus discuss what to do with Crockett and Tubbs, they speak in English. Both are Spanish speakers, and it's not clear why they don't converse in their common native tongue. It was probably filmed in English to make things easier on the audience.

In the final shootout, Gina gives Zito the green light to move to take cover behind some large wheels. But he walks to safety passing the front of the car where the firepower is, instead of round the back.

In Sonny's rap sheet, Hialeah is spelled incorrectly as Hialeahi.
