Many of the scenes were recorded in an abandoned military bunker in Sweden.
There are a number of fake web-sites (in English) with information about the 17th century prophecy which the whole series is based on. There has never been any prophecy, and the character Adelyn Saville is completely fictional.
One week before the first episode was broadcast in Sweden there was a major electrical problem. (just as told in the first episode)
