At first glance, it’s kind of confusing as to why Gearbox and People Can Fly would pick Bulletstorm out of all the available titles in their catalogue for the remaster treatment. Look a shade further into it though and the reasoning is relatively clear. Despite providing some top class gory fun and being critically acclaimed when it released back in 2011, it didn’t rack up the huge sales that it maybe should have, mainly because it hit the shelves in the same week as Sony’s Killzone 3.
So, in an age where pretty much everything is ripe for the remastering, the developer spied the perfect chance to apply a bit of spit and polish to proceedings and give players the opportunity to get their run and gun on. And even though the resulting package is far from perfect, I’m glad they did.

Did you love the manic shooter Bulletstorm? Then there's good news - Gearbox have floated the possibility of a second one...
Bulletstorm may not have enjoyed the same level of success that some of the shooters the game mocked have enjoyed over the years, but it did do well enough to justify the impending the release of Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. While there was a time when a remaster of the game was more than fans could have ever hoped for, that remaster may very well dictate the future of the Bulletstorm franchise.

Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition, a remastered version of the 2011 original, isn’t due out for almost another two weeks, but Gearbox Software and People Can Fly have decided to go ahead with rolling out the refurbished shooter’s launch trailer to get you in the mood for a return to the planet Stygia. For the uninitiated, Bulletstorm‘s shtick is that it doesn’t take itself seriously whatsoever, preferring instead to hand players a unique set of tools with which to cause untold amounts of havoc on anything that crosses their path.
Bolstered by a memorable cast of characters, you take on the role of Grayson Hunt, a member of black ops group Dead Echo who, with the rest of your team, is in pursuit of one General Sarrano, the potty-mouthed former commander of the squad who misled you into killing innocent civilians. A new trailer for Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition, People Can Fly’s refurbished re-release of the 2011 shooter, has rolled out today, courtesy of publisher Gearbox Software. If, like me, you fondly remember Bulletstorm not just for its inventive style-based score system but its, let’s say, colorful dialogue and visual style, then you’ll no doubt have already been aware that the remaster is on its way to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC this April thanks to the official announcement last year, but for those not familiar with the title and its setting, today’s story trailer (above) should help to remedy that somewhat.
Boasting hi-res textures, increased polygon counts, improved audio and smoother frame rates, it certainly looks as if People Can Fly is pulling out all the stops for the remaster, which will also have 4K support for those who pick it up on Ps4 Pro or PC.

Hot on the heels of a leaked listing back in September, Gearbox Software finally confirmed that Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is indeed real. The remastered version of Epic’s anarchic shooter will launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC on April 7, 2017.
Completely updated with hi-res textures, remastered audio, smoother framerates and full 4K support for the PS4 Pro and PC, Full Clip Edition is the ultimate version of Bulletstorm. Besides being reworked in order to maximize the power of modern consoles, the port also includes a few new tweaks on the gameplay side.
The biggest addition, and one that has been teased by Gearbox head Randy Pitchford, is that those who pre-order Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition will unlock the ability to play as the iconic Duke Nukem. Jon St. John has returned to record brand new dialogue, and the new script will be integrated seamlessly into the original campaign.

Frequently overlooked score attack shooter Bulletstorm is apparently coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC at some point in 2017, the Brazilian Advisory Ratings Board has revealed.
Spotted by the folks at Gematsu, the rating lists the supposed remaster as Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. Strangely, Gearbox Software, who had nothing to do with the original release, is named as the publisher, not EA.
Originally released back in 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, Bulletstorm follows a ragtag group of black ops soldiers supposedly delivering justice by assassinating criminals. Discovering their superior is actually a treacherous cretin having innocent civilians killed, you go on the run from your former boss, eventually crash-landing on the inhospitable planet of Stygia.
Flying directly in the face of the monotone greys and browns of contemporary, more serious shooters, Bulletstorm was an unashamedly juvenile Fps; resplendent in color and featuring a skill system that rewarded the player with...

Sam Worthington in Deadline Gallipoli.
.
Despite massive promotion and widespread critical acclaim, the premiere of Deadline Gallipoli didn.t draw a big audience on Foxtel but the figures for the full week will be a far more accurate measurement.
The 8.30 pm Sunday screening on showcase had 71,000 viewers in the five metropolitan capitals, according to OzTam.
The WW1 drama produced by Matchbox Pictures and Sam Worthington and John Schwarz.s Full Clip ranked just outside the top 20 shows on pay-tv, behind multiple episodes of The Simpsons.
However the producers and Foxtel rate the opening as a solid number and are confident the overall figures will build through the week with time-shifting and catch--up viewing.

"Walking Dead" star Steven Yeun hit "Conan" Tuesday night to promote the show, yes, but also to spread the following important message: "Once and for all, we don't all look alike. That's what I'm here to tell you." He was talking, of course, about Asians - and the actor not only takes umbrage with perceptions outside the Asian-American community, but the propagation of the stereotype within the community as well. "It's wild!" vented the actor on the late-night talker. "People will come up and be like, 'I get mistaken for you all the time.' And I'm like, 'you're 55 years old.' Or I'm like, 'you're a 12 year old girl!' What are you talking about?" To demonstrate what he meant, the actor presented the following cringe-worthy photo: Ooh boy. We feel for you, Steven. So what can be done to combat this stubborn stereotype? For his part, the actor...

Forget Dancing Groot, as Baymax looks set to take his crown as 2014′s most adorable animated character!
In this first full-length clip from Big Hero 6, we get to see the first meeting between brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada and Baymax, the character who has been central to all of the movie’s marketing so far.
Marvel’s role in Big Hero 6 was minimal and that the project is very much the brainchild of Disney Animation. Whether we’ll ever get an animated feature from Marvel Studios remains to be seen.
While Big Hero 6 isn’t set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and doesn’t feature big name characters like Captain America or Iron Man, but the movie which is based loosely on a few short-lived comic book series’ of the same name is directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams and looks like an awful lot of fun.

The editorial staff of the official "Star Wars" website, StarWars.com, have decided to rank the top ten one-on-one fights in the first six "Star Wars" movies. Each of the lightsaber battles was ranked on "inventiveness, choreography and emotional impact".
What will surprise people will be the top choice. The Darth Maul fight in "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" is about the only sequence from that film commonly lauded, and it came in at number one. That it beat out the more iconic battle between Luke and Darth Vader in "The Empire Strikes Back" in second place will certainly ruffle some feathers.
Meanwhile the final battle between Luke and Vader in "Return of the Jedi" came in fifth, with the two battles at the end of "Revenge of the Sith" (Obi-Wan vs. Anakin, Yoda vs. Palpatine) coming in third and fourth.

Noel Clarke first mentioned this last fall, and since then, both he and Ashley Walters have reiterated plans to produce a UK version of Bad Boys, which they wrote together, and it looks like they both plan to co-direct as well (at the very least, co-produce and co-star). Still no official synopsis yet, but over the weekend, I learned (via 2 interviews with Walters Here and Here) what the name of the film will be, and a little more about the project. First, this UK version of Bad Boys will be called Full Clip. Second, Walters says that the worked on the script (which is done) for 2 12/ years. Third, Walters says production is planned to start towards the end...

Music fans, rest assured. Tom Cruise, a bunch of garish costumes and set design, and the hair metal tunes from "Rock Of Ages" won't be your only option this weekend at the movies. For those looking for a more satisfying musical outing, head to your local arthouse for "Something From Nothing: The Art Of Rap," a documentary that explores the birth of hip hop and how it has turned into a global phenomenon.
Premiering earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival, the film is co-directed by Ice-t and Andy Baybutt ("The Band Aid Story") and takes an in-depth look at the craft of rhyming, with interviews from some of the biggest stars in rap, including Afrika Bambaataa, Grandmaster Caz, Nas, Mos Def, Eminem, Chuck D, Krs-One, Run-dmc, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg. Up until now comics anthology 2000 A.D. has had only two movies made involving characters it showcased, and they were both were Judge Dredd (one in 1995 starring Sylvester Stallone, and the upcoming ‘Dredd’ reboot with Karl Urban in the lead role). This is a shame since the title has created a lot of cool characters, such as Nikoli Dante, Button Man (whose film rights are owned by Dreamworks, who have so far failed to progress passed the pitching stage), and Strontium Dog, who would work very well on the big screen. Thankfully, news has broke that the title’s second most popular character, Rogue Trooper, is making it’s way to the big screen.
The Daily Record (spotted by Bleeding Cool) has recently revealed that comics writer Grant Morrison (Batman: Rip, Animal Man, The Filth) is being brought on to write the script for a Rogue Trooper movie for the production company,...

I know the constant barrage of news can get tiring, but I recommend you embrace the anticipation for what will probably be the best genre movie of the year, especially if you're a fan of Steven Spielberg. A few weeks back we collected four clips from J.J. Abrams' Super 8 that combined to display the opening train crash sequence that was eluded to in the first teaser last summer. Paramount has released a Full clip that has some more footage tacked on, enjoy it inside. They call it "production value," I call it "clip 0". Super 8 arrives in theaters June 10.

I’m told that Smith felt edged out by former Comcast Programming Group President Jeff Shell who’s been brought in from the U.S. to oversee international TV production division of NBC Universal as chairman of NBCU International. “He could have taken a lesser job but it’s a bit of a shame,” says a friend. “This kind of thing always goes on whenever you have new management.” Smith, whose resume also includes a stint at PolyGram, tells me he hasn’t decided what to do next. At NBCU International, Smith was behind the company’s acquisition of Carnival Film & Television in 2008, which brought to the fold the ITV/PBS hit Downton Abbey. Linkin Park's A Thousand Suns is an album full of musical left turns, and perhaps none are as, well, "left turn-y" as "Waiting for the End," a song that's one part soaring, big-boned ballad, one part rattling, slightly Ragga dancehall toast, and zero parts anything LP have previously attempted.
In keeping with the spirit that's guided the band throughout the Thousand Suns cycle, Linkin Park have chosen "End" as the album's second single. And, we've got a sneak peek at the video.
Directed once again by bandmember Joseph Hahn — who did LP's last video, for "The Catalyst," and pretty much every excellent clip they've ever made — "Waiting For The End" conjures up the same murky, mercurial feel as "The Catalyst" clip, only there's an austere beauty to it too.

It's funny, skilful and charming, but this affectionate hymn to 1970s violence and narcissism may help to sustain harmful attitudes
Anne Billson isn't alone in finding Black Dynamite pointless. Nonetheless, many have found it enthralling. So, on one level or another it must be delivering something. What might that be?
The film is a brilliantly executed parody of one strand of the blaxploitation films of the 1970s. Still, you could make a spoof of anything. To succeed as a parodist, you've got to pick a subject that holds some significance for your audience. A decades-old movie sub-genre wouldn't in itself be a sure-fire target. Interest in this one surely depends on a feature of its subject matter that remains of enduring fascination – the potency of the black male.
Blaxploitation hymned violence, sexual incontinence and narcissistic posturing as the black man's route to self-realisation. In the 1970s this may have been...

If there's one thing I don't really cover at the annual San Diego Comic Con, it's comics oddly enough. With so many film and television-related panels going on these days, the launch of comic titles or labels themselves often get lost in the milieu of sound bites from a geek-exalted filmmaker or visiting major celeb who let slip quotes about their next project whilst helping the studio pimp out their current one.
The main reason though is that Dark Horizons is a film, and to a lesser extent a TV, DVD & Blu-ray site. Video games, technology, comics or fandom in general doesn't fall under my purview unless there is a film-related component. This year however one such opportunity presented itself - Radical Studios.
