Goofs

When Rosemary cuts the cake the cake is a two layer cake with vanilla on top and chocolate on the bottom. The next shot it is two layers of chocolate. The final shot of the cake the chocolate layer has switched positions. The knife is in a different position in each shot. The size of the slice taken out also gets smaller in each shot.

In the scene where Hal and Rosemary go out with Walt and Tania, after they drive away from the gas station a shot of the car is shown where Rosemary is wearing a pink top, whereas she is shown wearing a white top during that scene.

When Hal first meets Rosemary she is wearing black sandals with wooden heels. Later, when she is standing outside waiting for him, she is wearing different, all-black, shoes.

When Mauricio confronts Hal in the gym, Hal's weights on the pull-down change from a group of five to a group of three.

When a closeup of fat Rosemary walking out onto the springboard is shown, it bends very far down under her weight, but when it cuts to a faraway shot from Hal's point of view, the board is only bent down as if it were supporting the weight of skinny Rosemary.

At the DoubleDoor Inn, where Rosie is seen dancing with the guy with spina bifida, we see the other guests applaud and approach them once they have finished dancing. And if you look closely you will see that Hal joins the crowd at the right hand side of your screen. But as it cuts to the next shot where Rosie is walking away from the crowd, we see Hal catch up with her from the opposite side where he was standing with the crowd.

The shots were filmed from different angles, visible by the background, so this is not a goof.

Mauricio has no registration plates on his car, some cars seen in the background also have them missing.

All cars have rear license plates. The film is set in North Carolina, where front license plates are not required.

When Hal and Rosemary are sharing the chocolate shake, once Rosemary gulps it down a hole in the bottom of the glass is visible.

When Hal is riding in the Jeep the key in the ignition is not turned on.

When Hal is talking to the hostess right before Mauricio "heals" him, the movements of the hostess' "ugly" reflection in the mirror do not match the "pretty" hostess' movements.

When at the diner, Rosemary's chair folds and she falls. The chair was pre-cut. These chairs with steel legs can hold over five hundred pounds each when seated in the center, so there is no way the chair would have collapsed Just from Rosemary's weight.

Restaurant booth seats can hold up to 1,400 pounds each per design specification. Rosemary weighs about 350 pounds. There is no way should could destroy a boot as depicted in the restaurant scene.

When they pull into the gas station while on the bike trip, the camera dolly is visible as Hal and his friend walk from the car.

At about 90 minutes in the movie Hal meets the little girl Cadence again when he realizes she is a burn victim. He looks up and reads a sign "Paediatric burn unit" The hospital Rosie and Hal visit is a "children's hospital", so there is no reason to add the "Paediatric"

When Hal carries Rosemary to the car, a boom mic is reflected in the glass at the top of the front door.

Rosemary said that 100,000 Kiribati women were in danger, requiring the Peace Corps volunteers to return. Kiribati's total population is 96,000.

Rosemary's description and the filmmaker's interpretation of Psoriasis for the character Ralph is highly exaggerated.
