Despite the widespread devastation to homes and businesses across the Southland, central production hubs in Los Angeles appear to remain unscathed from the historic destruction caused by wildfires in the region.
Not included in the 5,000-plus structures that have been ravaged by the blazes are major soundstages that host the majority of TV and movie shoots in Los Angeles. Most production in the area has been suspended but is expected to return.
While some of those soundstages were threatened by the Sunset Fire, which triggered mandatory evacuation orders in Hollywood and the Hollywood Hills on Wednesday evening, that blaze is subsiding as firefighters made big gains overnight pushing it back. If the fire continued unabated, it could’ve approached critical production facilities, including Radford Studio Center and Sunset Gower Studios, as well as iconic Hollywood locations such as Tcl Chinese Theatre, the Dolby Theatre and the Hollywood Pantages Theatre.

Few actresses capture the essence of the “girl next door” ingenue quite like Kirsten Dunst. However, Dunst’s talent extends far beyond this classic film trope, as she has consistently demonstrated her remarkable acting abilities throughout her career.
Kirsten Dunst has had an active acting career since 1989, and moviegoers may know her from many different roles — depending on their generation — such as Mary Jane Watson in the early 2000s Spider-Man franchise or as the forever young Claudia in the 1994 film Interview with the Vampire.

Dunst was born in 1982 and grew up in Brick Township, New Jersey, a far cry from the glitz of Hollywood, with most of its residents from middle and lower-middle-class backgrounds.
Dunst’s family was no different, though they likely fared better than some of Brick Township’s inhabitants.

Taryn Manning’s audition for the Britney Spears starrer Crossroads was so good it made director Tamra Davis nervous.
“She was picking something on her arm, and it looked like it might start bleeding,” recalls Davis of a casting session for the 2002 road trip drama, written by soon-to-be TV mogul Shonda Rhimes. “I thought ‘Oh my, she’s too much, this girl.’ But at the same time, she was the girl.”
Manning was vying for the role of Mimi, a trailer park teen with dreams of moving to Los Angeles to make it as a singer. Manning so nailed the mannerisms and soul of a girl from the wrong side of the tracks who longed for stardom that Davis also felt confused. “I remember quietly telling [casting directors Kim Davis-Wagner and Justine Arteta] that while she was amazing, I needed a real actress. The Simpsons Season 32 Episode 3
While it may not be a masterpiece, The Simpsons season 32, episode 3, “Now Museum, Now You Don’t” can hang in most galleries. Beyond the humor, the visuals are quite impressive, and varied.
This is another story-time episode for The Simpsons, repopulating pages from history with Springfield residents. Lisa is home sick, so delirious she thinks she’s in school. Marge, ever the enabler, encourages her in her fantasia. When Lisa asks if she will be graded on whatever she reads, Marge promises pop quizzes galore.
This really encapsulates the mother-daughter relationship in the Simpson family. Marge is incredibly encouraging, often overly so, when she sees opportunity. This is a chance for Lisa to indulge her most intellectual pursuits, without the resistance of reality, with just a little sweat. Who cares if it’s a fever in the making?

Dunst Kills Nude Scene
Hollywood star Kirsten Dunst has banned a two minute nude scene from her new movie. The 19-year-old demanded changes from the film Crazy/Beautiful after seeing it with her mother. Director John Stockwell said, "I think her mom was a bit taken aback. Kirsten felt a little uncomfortable about too much attention on the nudity in her first sexual movie." He cut the scene in half, erasing all traces of nudity, and finally got Dunst's approval. The actress, who at 13 had to kiss Brad Pitt in Interview With A Vampire, is currently filming Spider-Man opposite Tobey Maguire.
