Police are seen searching for the missing woman at night-time. Police searches are only ever carried out during daylight hours, as this obviously increases the chances of being able to find evidence.
Near the end of the film, an InterCity 125 train can be seen passing through the Kent countryside. This type of train has only ever been used on routes going north and west from London (Kent, where the film is set, was only served by slower trains until the Channel Tunnel rail link was opened in 1994) This footage was certainly not filmed in Kent.
The dead woman's left eye can clearly be seen to move when the stationmaster discovers Ewen in the shack. Her body also appears to move very slightly in the last shot of the scene.
The word 'Bat'sman' appears in the closing credits., but this is incorrect. The correct designation, as any fan of cricket will know, is 'Batsman'
The dead woman's body is in pristine condition with no sign of decomposition when the police recover it from its shallow grave at least four days after the murder has taken place.
This film is set in 1966 but many of the extras (and even some of the supporting cast members, particularly those involved in the cricket match) can be seen wearing hairstyles that match those worn in 1980, when filming took place.
