The best Ninja Turtles quotes stay with fans long after the movies are over. "Why Can't I Ever Dream About Harrison Ford?" - April O'Neil reacts in disbelief when she first meets the talking, martial arts-trained turtles, lamenting her strange dreams. "Go Ninja, Go Ninja, Go!" - Vanilla Ice takes inspiration from the turtles' moves and coins a catchy refrain during his performance, which becomes a theme and is even reused by Splinter to tease his sons.
Throughout the '80s, one of the most recognized pop culture franchises was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Ninja Turtles quotes have made their way into pop culture. The comics, the animated series, and a hugely successful toy line were a staple for many, and in 1990, the franchise reached new peaks with the release of the first live-action movie.
The turtles received three live-action films throughout the nineties, and they are still mostly loved today.

Paramount Global lost $238 million from its streaming business this summer — and that’s a good thing.
The number is a marked improvement over recent quarters (a $424 million loss in Q2 and a $511 million loss in Q1), and quite a bit better than the market expected. Paramount executives now say they believe their streaming losses peaked last year, and that we will no longer see a (new) peak this year. Next stop: profitability?
Paramount+ added 2.7 million subscribers in the summer 2023 quarter. The core Paramount Global streaming service now has more than 63 million subs, up from 61 million at the end of June. Fast-industry leader Pluto TV no longer reports monthly active users; at the end of March, MAUs had been 80 million.
The company’s direct-to-consumer (Dtc) business posted expenses of $1.93 billion from July to September. The same line item tallied $2.1 billion in Q2 and $2 billion in Q1.
Q3 was the first full quarter of that integration.

The latest issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sees the iconic team disbanding, with Raphael leaving the group to forge his own path. The Turtles' decision to part ways is driven by their realization of the dangers their inherent mysticism poses, as they unintentionally draw both allies and villains to them. Raphael's departure signifies a significant turning point for the Tmnt, leaving fans wondering what the future holds for the beloved character and the possibility of his own solo adventures.
Warning! This article contains spoilers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #144 There are few comic book superhero teams more iconic than the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, especially when considering the classic lineup of the four original brothers: Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael. However, at the end of their latest adventure, this fan-favorite team has officially disbanded, and the heartfelt exit of one Turtle brother in particular means it might be for good.

This week we are going to take a look at the history of Tmnt comics by looking in-depth at the supporting cast of allies and enemies. There will be a section of people reading this who would have been like me in the ’90s thinking these characters were only from toys and a cartoon. So this is going to be a comics education for you. I am going to try and keep things in chronological order, but there will be lots of various size tangents to go off on. The focus will be on first appearances, key issues and how each character was introduced in the Idw series. The Idw series serves an important purpose as it has introduced and reintroduced many fans to the Tmnt universe. It is now over 100 issues in, as well as a handful of interesting accompanying mini-series. The best way I often describe the Idw...

There are times when it’s hard to go back and play even the best Nes games. There are times when it’s hard to look at even some of the best-looking Nes games. There has never been a time when it’s difficult to listen to the best Nes soundtracks.
There’s a timeless quality to the best songs of the chiptune era. Granted, some Nes songs simply sound better when they’re played by a live orchestra or are being reimagined in some remastered way, but that’s honestly a testament to the longevity of those tunes. Even if you’re not a fan of that classic chiptune style, the best Nes soundtracks still featured legitimately great compositions that shine bright in various forms.
As always, though, let’s take a look at some of our selection criteria for this list before we dive into the picks:

With the doom and gloom all the uncertainty in the real world is bringing I thought I would try and lighten the mood. So this week I’m ditching the comics talk and diving into some toy and collectibles talk. Together we will take a trip to Christmas’s of yesteryear to look at some of my favourite toy lines from the past. A Christmas installment with a past, present and future theme!? I am so original!
I have seen photos of my first ever Christmas has I have no real recollection of it and I can report it was populated by an array of Thomas the Tank Engine toys. Even to this day it sees to be a solid go to for male tots, but it is way, way off the pop culture dominated Christmas’ that would follow. The first of what my parents would go on to call...

For most kids of the 1980s, it was a big moment when they realized that the actor who played Uncle Phil on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air also voiced Shredder on the popular cartoon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And James Avery loved witnessing the lightbulb go on.
In an interview given years ago, the beloved sitcom and voice actor — who was born this day in 1945 — talked about seeing that reaction and also about how seriously he took the role of Shredder, making it a point to note the cartoon was not merely a gig.

Updated with release date: The CG movie reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which Deadline scooped last year (see the story below) was coming from Nickelodeon and Point Grey Pictures, now has a release date. The pic being directed by Gravity Falls‘ Jeff Rowe will hit theaters August 11, 2023.
Seth Rogen, who is producing with his Point Grey partners Evan Goldberg and James Weaver, unveiled the date Tuesday in a Twitter post, along with some “notes” from Leonardo, one of the four shelled heroes at the center of the kids franchise.
There were no other details provided aside from some doodling in the margins of the notes, which featured words like honor, loyalty and discipline which are staples of the Turtles mythology. There’s also a note to “apologize to April,” a nod to the journalist who helps the quartet fight crime.

The Snes isn’t just the greatest Nintendo console of all-time: it’s the home of a truly impressive collection of classic games, underrated gems, and, for our purposes today, a shocking number of games that never got the sequel they deserved.
While you can usually list the business reasons why certain games don’t get sequels, that does little to diminish fans’ desires for more of a particular experience or even a second chance to get things right. In the case of some of these games, fans have been holding their breath for quite a long time.
Before we dive into this look at Snes games begging for a sequel, please note that while we will mostly focus on games that never got a sequel, a few of these titles did get underwhelming sequels that missed the mark or otherwise haven’t been revisited in over 20 years.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to star in the YA comedy “Hot Pink,” which has been ordered to pilot at Amazon, Variety has learned.
The show is loosely inspired by Elana K. Arnold’s book “What Girls Are Made Of.” In the book, Nina Faye was raised to believe that there is no such thing as unconditional love, meaning she will do anything for her boyfriend to prove her worthiness. But when he breaks up with her, Nina is lost and sets out to find out what the conditions of love really are.
Elisabeth Holm created “Hot Pink,” with Holm also executive producing. Desiree Akhavan will direct and executive produce the pilot. Rebecca Green will also executive produce along with Sue Naegle and Ali Krug for Annapurna. Amazon Studios will produce in association with Annapurna.
Gellar is perhaps best known for her iconic leading role in the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” series.

Recently, Dotemu and Tribute Games shocked the gaming world by revealing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge; a tribute to the Tmnt beat ’em up classics of the late ’80s and early ’90s. As you can tell by the project’s debut trailer, Shredder’s Revenge looks to emulate the sights, sounds, and gameplay of what are generally remembered as some of the best arcade action games of their era.
Given the resumes of the teams working on this project (which include some of the talent responsible for Streets of Rage 4 and the brilliant Scott Pilgrim game), it’s surprisingly easy to be confident in their ability to craft a modern Tmnt beat ’em up that feels worthy of the surprisingly enduring Tmnt franchise and the best Tmnt video games.

The 3rd Fighter Pack for Injustice 2 has been released and they are giving us some characters straight out of left field!
Atom was a given, given the silhouette we saw when they first expanded the roster. Mel Brooks’ Blazing Saddles screens this Friday and Saturday nights (July 7th and 8th) at midnight at the Tivoli Theater as part of their ‘Reel Late at the Tivoli’ Midnight series.
I showed the condensed Super-8 version of Blazing Saddles, appropriately enough, at my Super-8 Politically Incorrect Movie Madness show a few years ago at The Way Out Club and there are enough N-words in the 18-minute edit alone to make Paula Dean blush, but damn, this movie just keeps getting funnier as it ages!
Blazing Saddles is my favorite Mel Brooks comedy. Yes, even more than Young Frankenstein – it’s hard to believe Brooks produced both yuk-fests the same year. I just watched his 1977 follow-up High Anxiety on 16mm last weekend for the first time since it was new and Yikes! – I see why it was a critical disaster – didn’t laugh once!

If you were a fan of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series, you're gonna love this new series of action figures that Neca just revealed! It's a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive box set that includes Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael. It also included the villains Shredder, Krang, and a couple Foot Clan thugs. The figures are all based on the designs from the classic cartoon series that we all grew up watching.
I use to own all of the original figures and I'm sure I've still got a few of them buried in some boxes somewhere. I'd love to get my hands on one of these sets! I really love the look of these figures and they would make a great addition to any collection.
Neca has released some additional details for the set that you can read below. I also included more photos of them for you to check out!

I'll admit, I didn't know Virgin was coming out with its own fiber internet connection, but I'm not surprised. The surprise comes from the epic commercial they released to announce it! It starts off in a futuristic tunnel as we see French Revolution type running through it chased by flaming arrows shot by an unknown assailant. Then it gets crazy. An incredible race scene ensues, getting more crowded as it goes. The characters are references to movies and television shows like Game of Thrones, Mad Max, and The Dark Knight. We do get a cameo from one licensed character, Donatello from the Nickelodeon cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Turns out they're all racing inside a fiber cable line held by a Virgin Fibre installation guy, who thinks he hears the commotion inside the cable. The commercial ends with the following tagline.
"The best entertainment deserves awesome wi-fi. This is Virgin Fiber.

It cost $70,000 to fit out a New York cinema to play the movie I'm Your Man. How did letting an audience choose what happens in a film go?
Sometimes, history consigns relatively revolutionary projects to the back of everyone's minds, never to be heard from again. That might just be the case for the movie I'm Your Man.
The film was released in December 1992, and was supposedly set to showcase new interactive cinema technology that had been developed by Loews Theatres in the Us. As such, the movie premiered at a specially-equipped Loews cinema in New York City, where audiences were charged $3 a seat for the 20 minute movie.
The gimmick, though, was that they could choose how the story panned out. Written and directed by Bob Bejan (who also voiced Michaelangelo on a pair of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles albums), I'm Your Man offered audiences 68 moments in...

Mondo recently announced a Nickelodeon-themed gallery art show that they are putting on called A Nick-Nick-Nick-Nick-n-Nick-Nick-Nick... Nickelodeon Show! and they've released a couple of posters inspired by their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. They were created by Ciro Nieli, who is a producer and director on the show, and as you can see they have a very unique style to them. They have a very sketchy feel to them and they are filled with notes, which is actually kinda cool. The first poster features Casey Jones and the second is of Metalhead, who is a fifth robot Ninja Turtle created by Donatello.
I also included a few other pieces that they teased featuring Ren & Stimpy by Florian Bertmer, Tmnt by Sachin Teng, and Rocko's Modern Life by Dave Perillo. The art show takes place from December 9th to the 17th at Mondo Gallery in Austin, Texas.

I’ve got an incredibly fun Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles short film for you to watch that was created by Invader Zim creator Jhonen Vasquez. The short features Donatello and Raphael fighting in a battle that escalates into ridiculousness.
We see the two characters battle in all sorts of ways that include playing video games, eating hot dogs, jump rope, and even a bake off. Of course, the Ninja Turtles wouldn’t be the Ninja Turtles without Shredder and his Foot Clan goons making an appearance.
This is a standalone short that isn’t connected to any other Tmnt project that is currently in development, but it’s still a lot of fun, so enjoy!

The San Diego Comic Con exclusive is a six-minute cartoon entitled “Don vs. Raph,” and it features an epic battle between the brothers over who is the better fighter. While the heroes in the half-shell are known for being equally goofy as they are masters of martial arts, Vasquez’s short sees Donatello and Raphael compete in some pretty bizarre activities after beating each other to a pulp and deciding fighting won’t settle their score.
What kinds of activities? The brothers go head to head in everything from video games to baking to Jenga. There’s also a beauty pageant,...

We chat to the producer, director and story editor of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Nickelodeon cartoon series...
In 2016, there are three main running Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles continuities. There’s the film series, which I like, the comic book series, which I love, and the Nickelodeon cartoon series, which is my favourite.
I’ve written a lot of articles about the show because I think it’s excellent. I’d argue that it’s the best new take on the Turtles since the 1990 live-action film. It takes a lot of what I love about the Ninja Turtles and runs it through a filter of weird horror films and odd sci-fi. Then they add their own elements too, shaping it into this this sharp, funny lovely little oddball of a show.

Dr. Martens has announced that they are launching a new line of boots inspired by the characters from the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series (not that shitty film franchise that just keeps getting worse).
The boots come in four styles and they are available in sizes for men, woman, and kids. If you're a hardcore Ninja Turtle fan, and you want to boldly rock your fandom, these are for you!
Below you'll find some additional photos with descriptions and a promo video.
Leonardo Leonardo stands for respect, courage and Kick ass moves. His boot has the phrase ‘Cowabunga!’ and a glow-in- the-dark slime splatters across the toe. Donatello stands for Skate, sleep and eating. His boot features two different expressions on each toe, a purple removable face mask and cartoon turtle shell patterning up the side. Raphael stands for being lean, mean and green. His boot has glow-in-the-dark ooze dripping down on the sides,...

The antics of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Donatello were always going to be perfect for a franchise. Not only does it give a chance for adults to take a nostalgic trip down memory lane to their infancy when they used to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in cartoon and movie form, but it allows them to introduce the heroes in a half-shell to their offspring, too. But what are the chances that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows will be followed by another sequel? Well, according to its cast, that.s the plan. I had the opportunity to sit down with the cast of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows last month, where I asked them about the potential of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3. And having only just made his debut as Casey Jones in Out Of The Shadows, Stephen Amell admitted that he is...

It wouldn't be a third person brawler game without some character specialties. That's exactly what Activision is showing off in the Character Trailers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan!
These trailers show highlights of each turtle and what they bring to the team. Leonardo’s determined focus, Raphael’s explosive attacks, Donatello’s calculating genius and Michelangelo’s wild energy are on full display. Not to mention, the environments and enemies that the Heroes in a Half Shell will encounter.
Activision has worked really hard, marketing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan. So far, we've seen a couple of gameplay trailers, a villains trailer, and now character trailers. That's a lot of content for most video games. Perhaps, they're trying to pounce on the hype train, as Tmnt Out of the Shadows approaches. It's a smart move for the developer. Especially, since the game looks really good.
