Investigative reporter Frank Harris has himself committed to death row under an assumed identify in order to probe the psychological impact of the death sentence. Suddenly his outside contacts disappear and he is left to the mercy of his jailer, an old enemy who only smiles and waits as Harris is strapped into the electric chair.
