The movie features the same type of slapstick violence and comic mischief as seen in other campy, kid-friendly, "ninja" movies such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, 3 Ninjas, Surf Ninjas, etc.
There is a lot of non-stop martial arts action throughout the movie. It is not that violent, with barely any blood shown.

Most of the movie contains nothing but the same type of juvenile and crude-humored insults as Super Mario Bros.: The Movie.
