The show inspired Joanna Lumley's memorable and hugely popular character Patsy Stone from Absolutely Fabulous (1992-2012). In the Full Wax, Lumley, known for her clean-cut image, played an exaggerated version of herself as a violent, narcissistic drunk. The later character of Patsy is an alcoholic, self absorbed, drug addict.
