Suits season 9 critiques Harvey and Mike's questionable behavior, acknowledging their flaws. The show's heroes often broke rules and crossed lines to win cases. Suits season 9 focuses on holding the firm accountable, with a Special Master questioning their methods.
Suits season 9 called out the shows main characters, particularly Harvey and Mike, for their behavior throughout the show after we, the viewers, chose to ignore their flaws for too long. Suits was very different from the usual legal dramas, focusing more on the power dynamic between lawyers during a settlement than in courtroom battles or criminal cases. Suits best episodes combined character development with high-stakes lawsuits, many of which were only won by the protagonists because they were willing to cross some lines.

Suits season 9 is officially on Netflix. After missing season 8, Suits season 9 finally reunites Mike and Harvey. Mike and Harvey's reunion in Suits season 9 emphasizes that the show should have ended in season 7, so it didn't have to continue without Patrick J. Adams.
As fun as it is watching Suits season 9's best moments, it exposes the harsh truth about the legal drama. In the summer of 2023, Suits started its streaming domination. By then, it was already 4 years since it wrapped up its original run on USA Network, making its newfound success more intriguing. Much has been said about the factors that led to this resurgence, which includes the increased interest in Meghan Markle and how it's perfect for a binge-watch. That said, it took Netflix a year before it was able to complete the series with Suits 9's availability.

Bad TV character reunions can disrupt the show's chemistry and feel forced, disappointing loyal fans. Bringing back characters for closure can be a fun fan service moment but might not always hit the mark. Some reunions may feel underwhelming or awkward, leaving fans questioning the purpose of bringing back the character.
Seeing two TV characters with great chemistry reunite after many seasons or years can be an epic moment, but when it's underwhelming, it becomes disappointing instead. These reunions could miss the mark for many reasons. It could be that the show was better off without the characters, and reintroducing them disrupted the carefully balanced chemistry the existing cast had developed. Or, the characters and show have never been the sentimental type, and as reunions are unavoidably sentimental, the scene feels awkward and forced.

In a recent interview with Manga Passion, Mayu Nakamura, the manga editor of Shoujo Manga Magazine Bessatsu Friend, shed light on the preference of live-action adaptations over anime for shoujo manga.
Nakamura attributed this prominence of live-actions to business consideration within the industry, emphasizing that it’s a reflection of the demands of the domestic media market.
While acknowledging that shoujo manga could indeed be suitable for anime adaptation, Nakamura highlighted the significant demand for live-action series and movies within Japan, particularly targeting young women.
According to Nakamura, the Japanese film industry aims to produce a certain number of romance movies annually, often intended for viewing on dates. Shoujo manga, with their diverse romantic storylines, thus offer attractive source material for such productions. Furthermore, Nakamura noted the industry’s reliance on young male actors to portray leading roles in these romance movies, thereby enhancing their popularity.

Blending a charming vintage art style with shockingly gory horror, Jay Stephens' Dwellings takes readers into Elwich, a seemingly idyllic small town with a sinister side where blood-splattered secrets are lurking around every well-manicured corner. With the first 72-page issue of the limited comic book series now available from Oni Press, we caught up with Stephens in a new Q&a feature to discuss combining a nostalgically cozy art style with intense scares, creating faux retro comic book advertisements that tie into his hair-raising tales, and reteaming with Oni Press to release Dwellings into the world!

Mike Ross has changed.
That was the big takeaway from Suits Season 9 Episode 5 which featured Patrick J. Adams' big return to the series after more than a year away.
There's always a lot of excitement when a former cast member returns to a veteran series after some time away, but it was clear from the get-go that Mike had continued to work on himself in his new locale.
If you watch Suits online, you know that he has always advocated for what was right -- even if he did have a job as a lawyer without actually attending Harvard University.
By the time Mike left Suits behind on Suits Season 8, he was more intrigued by pro-bono cases that helped people who were less fortunate, and that Mike shone through on "If the Shoe Fits."
If one thing was obvious, it was that Mike no longer fitted into the world of the show.

Of the 92,000 backers who gave to the film, every fan who gave $750 or more received two tickets to the fan premiere and after-party. The episode starts in shoe heaven — as in the Marie Claire shoe closet! Amazing. Designers must be inspired by shoes to create a runway look — but it’s not that simple. The designers must answer Tim Gunn’s Fashion Quiz correctly! If they get the answer right they get to choose — oh so exciting, feels like Jeopardy. Oh and during the quiz what truly shocked me was when Dom & Miranda didn’t know what designer was responsible for the term “Little Black Dress” famous; come on girls! Go back to school! It’s Chanel!!!! Everybody knows that.

You may recall an early August story in which Taxi Driver scribe Paul Schrader and American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis planned to collaborate on a shark thriller, Bait. We’ve heard and seen hide nor hair about it in the almost six months since, but those who wanted the two to team-up need not worry.
Ellis, as per usual, took to his Twitter account, using it as a tool to discuss one of his several upcoming film projects — this one to be directed by (you guessed already) Paul Schrader. Ontd (via ThePlaylist) directed us to all the spilling on his part; this time around, Ellis is crafting an “La noir micro budget” film, one which he has an unusual choice in mind to lead: porn star James Deen. I had (honestly) never heard of the guy until this story came up — but, sure enough, he is in that line of work.

Award: Lady Gaga may have wept for Marko's contemporary routine during her guest-judging stint on So You Think You Can Dance, but in the end, she only has eyes for Melanie, who she loudly proclaims as her favorite — oh, and at whom she tosses her monster-sized platform shoe because that's apparently what dancers do, or at least what Gaga does. "I would hire you tomorrow to dance on my tour all around the world," Gaga says. If she does, bring a helmet, Melanie.

A screaming match. Onlookers ducking for cover. Punches being thrown. That's what happened in the Ae break room as a fight erupted over which one of us would have to recap The A-List: New York this season. None of us wanted to do it because, well, we're all sane.
But someone had to watch the show this season and while I fought really hard, Dennis throws a mean left hook and snicks is a biter. All of which is to say, welcome to The A-List Season Two recaps by BriOut!
Now I watched every episode of the first season because with shows like Two and a Half Men and CSI Miami on summer hiatus, I needed something new to hate. So you can probably imagine my surprise when I didn't completely detest it. Don't get me wrong. It's terrible; about as real as Heidi Montag's breasts and filled with...

If the Season 2 trailer is any indication, the new season of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" promises to take last season's drama up a notch. The women say that everything we've seen on the show is real and that's just "Joizy."
"I don't know how to fake things," Teresa Giudice says. "I think we say it the way it is. I think that's how everybody is in Jersey. They just say it and they'll deal with consequences afterward."
Thank God, because it's the consequences that keep us tuned in to the trashtastic Bravo series.
Since last season, Giudice has had a fourth daughter and she has a cookbook of healthy Italian cooking, "Skinny Italian," coming out May 4. Recently, Teresa took a press call and while she stayed pretty mum on the upcoming season (repeating Bravo's tagline "Watch and See" when anyone asked for details), she did reveal a few...
