TBS runs an "edited for content" version of this film, that deletes or changes profanity and questionable dialog.

Following the September 11 attacks, the footage of an airplane blowing up in mid-air in reference to terrorism seen in Frank's violent "Scrooge" promo was edited out of television broadcasts. The entire violent promo is now edited out of television broadcasts.

In the UK and Ireland, in November 2016, the E4 television channel showed a slightly revised version of the movie, with Frank's Scrooge Promo intact as originally intended, with the exploding plane shot, and only some alternate language replacement on certain dialogue throughout the movie to remove certain profanity, changes obvious in certain points of the story with out of sync lip movements and out of place room acoustics.
