When Annie visits the principal, the teddy bear on her desk jumps about between shots.

While on the couch, Joanna's face is covered in cream for poison oak. After Dean puts her into bed, she turns around and has neither the cream nor the poison oak on her face.

Joey gives Annie a macaroni necklace, and she puts it on outside of her shirt collar. in following shots, the necklace is between her skin and the collar on her right side.

Early in the movie, Grant is shown shooting suction cup arrows at circular targets. In a close-up, the suction cup arrow being set in the bow is shown to have a small suction cup. In the next pull back view, the same arrow now has a suction cup that is very large.

When Annie walks into the classroom after the teacher calls her, the straps on Annie's purse keep changing from "on her shoulder" to "in her hands".

When Joanna decides to return to port, she enters the bridge of the yacht, which is brightly illuminated. Standard procedure is to darken the bridge of any ship at night in order not to impair visibility.

Dean and Annie open beer bottles by putting the bottle on the edge of a counter top surface and hitting the cap off with the palm of their hands. However, the surfaces used are not damaged after the bottle was opened. In reality, using this method to open a beer bottle causes scratching and chip damage to a counter top surface from the sharp edges of the bottle cap.

When the boys put superglue on the plates, one of them is not hanging out over the counter top edge at all, meaning it would have been super-glued to the counter.

When Grant takes the wheel of his yacht and says, "Bring it around", the next shot shows the front of the boat and when it is moving towards the camera, the wake of the boat ahead of it used to film the scene is clearly visible.

When they play netball, the actors cast shadows on shadows which indicate additional artificial lighting.

Twin, Charlie is drinking Budweiser when Annie prepares their first meal.

When Joanna/Annie is doing shots with Roddy McDowall and the staff in the kitchen, her hair is professionally done. Since there is no hairdresser in her employ on the yacht, there is no explanation how Joanna/Annie's hair could be done so flawlessly.

When the kids jump out of the truck to run after the limousine, the shout of "Mom!" is dubbed in.

In the beginning, the TV announcer says 'this is C-R-A-B' for the station call letters. You can clearly see the call letters on the screen as KRAB and being west of Mississippi River in Oregon it would start with K.

When Annie and Dean are being helped into the Zodiac, the camera bounces due to a wave, and a causeway is visible in the background.

When Joey is reading from the comic book to Annie and presents her with a macaroni necklace, the shadow of a crew member is cast over them. It can't be the shadow of one of the other boys, because they are all seated and are too far away to produce such a prominent shadow.

At the end of the film the boat sails off into the sunset, due West, away from the Oregon coastline, rather than heading East back to port.

The coast guard cutter Point Evans was based in Long Beach, California. It would be somewhat unlikely that it would be in Oregon.

It is unknown whether "Annie" was the actual name of Dean's late wife and the stories he tells Joanna in her amnesiac state are actually those of his late wife and former in-laws .

A 'local' radio announcer at the beginning of the film mispronounces the word 'Oregon.'
