Sam wakes up in a motel with no idea how he got there. He then goes in and when Leonard sees him, he pulls a gun on him and tells him that he thinks Sam killed another agent, whom Leonard fired. Later they go to Abby who after talking to Leonard says that he sent the agent on an undercover assignment and that he has a video that shows that Sam killed the agent. Abby gives him a copy and when he sees it he says that the man was alive when he left and the tape was altered. So he sets out to find the actual tape.
