Tramp, the family dog, makes friends with Victor, a young orphaned boy who is ransacking the house. When George and Anna catch Victor in the act, they too end up befriending him, partly because they understand the difficulties orphans face (having two of their own). But now what will the Roses do about pressing charges?

George decides the house is too cramped and it's time to find a new place to live.

George decides that house is too cluttered and it's time to clear items out. At the top of the list is an old pump organ Anna purchased but George has difficulty finding someone to take it off their hands.

Lisa is hired by the Roses to assist in the housework. Only problem is she doesn't know how to do anything which causes more work for Anna.

Anna takes in a newly arrived orphan but attempts to keep George from finding out there is one more person in the house.

George wants to take Anna on a trip that is just the two of them. But when it's discovered the parents are planning a ocean visit the entire family wants to be a part of it.

A friend asks Anna to keep a birthday gift for her husband for a surprise. The gift is a hunting rifle, but it is found by George, who assumes it's a gift for him, using an IRS refund they were expecting. He decides to trade it in for a gift for his wife, a sewing machine.

Anna is asked to give, a series of talks extolling the joy and benefits of fostering children. The demand in her time though keeps her away from home to the unhappiness of her family.

George is more than curious when Anna suddenly has $6,000 she wants to invest.

Any proof that George and Anna got married seems to have disappeared. The Roses frantically try to find evidence of their wedding day.

An attractive lady Mona moves in next door and Anna is not very pleased by the attention that she gets from the neighborhood males. Things worsen when Dan tries to make her part of the group's social scene.

When the children are offered a horse they are thrilled. But George understands the cost of upkeep and the Rose budget is already stretched thin.

Tommy goes from being available to having two different couples wanting to adopt him.

George is offered a lucrative job but it means relocating temporarily to Brazil.

Anna drives the car into a tar pit after Jeff removes the warning flag telling motorists of the danger.

Jeff becomes upset when he finds out George and Anna got rid of a gift he made them.

Flip finds a little man in their attic and thinks he's discovered a leprechaun.

The Rose family have a new house guest Wilfred who's a health enthusiast. He turns the house in to a gym with his frequent workouts and the Rose parents must find a nice way to get their friend to move on.

George thinks a reporter is interviewing him because he recently made a hole in one while playing golf. Jeff gets an instant girlfriend when he dials a wrong number.

George doesn't want to participate in the charity dance contest so he fakes a sprained ankle.

Jeff is failing Miss Aiken's history class and she requires he pass the next test or he's off the baseball team. Because Jeff is the star pitcher and it's the championship game emotions run high.

Globe trotting friends Mason and Julia visit the Rose family and entertain them with their adventures. Anna thinks they would be happier if they settled down as neighbors as the Roses.

Marcel from Europe is a temporary houseguest of the Rose family and he impresses the entire family with his manners. They try to emulate the elegant young man but find the task difficult.

Mary is hurt when her boyfriend breaks up with her and starts dating her rival Marcia. To save her injured pride she makes up a new admirer but problems arise when her friends expect Mary to be seen with him.

Calvin, the son of George's boss,need a temporary place to stay and the Roses agree to watch him. But his behavior is difficult and the parents must decide on far to go on discipline plus retaining the respect of their own children.
