- [to his wife sitting in the living room]
- Abe "Kid Twist" Reles: Hey, Joe, listen, Joe, I was just telling Eadie, that you know, you're both friends of mine and I like ya, what I'd like to do is I'd like for you and Eadie to have this apartment.
- Joey Collins: We don't want it.
- Abe "Kid Twist" Reles: What do you mean, you don't want it?
- Joey Collins: Well, just what I said.
- Abe "Kid Twist" Reles: Well, maybe, Eadie wants it.
- Joey Collins: Well, she doesn't.

- [to his wife]
- Abe "Kid Twist" Reles: [becoming angry] Listen, what is it with you two? What are you doing to me, I don't understand! Look, I offered you a free ticket to this place and it's like I was offering you poison or something! What, do you come from some other world than I do? Maybe they didn't teach you-
- [Reles turns and throws and shatters a shot glass against the wall]
- Abe "Kid Twist" Reles: [shouting angrily] Take, you see, what you can get your hands on, you take! Don't ask questions! Take! What you want, take! What I want, I take! Nothing means nothing unless I got it! What do you got hands for! Huh? TAKE!
- Joey Collins: [to Reles, after he is arrested for murder] I'm gonna watch you fry! I'm gonna watch you fry! I'm gonna watch you fry!
- Burton Turkus: [pointing to a map on the wall] Every one of those pins is an unsolved murder. What do I do about that?
- Det. Sgt. William Tobin: When?
- Burton Turkus: Now.
- Det. Sgt. William Tobin: [cynically] Send out for more pins.
