- A police squad on a river boat hear a gunshot and sail in to investigate. They soon discover a dead person and a child that flee's The scene. This leads to clues at a nearby museum on the island.
- An emergency call from a yacht reaches the "Elbaue" on patrol. On board the drifting boat, the police find a woman with a bloody knife in her hand - the perpetrator of a violent crime? It quickly turns out that Rieke Malow is blind. She was on a company outing on board the yacht with her company boss Hartmut Weingärtner and her colleagues Sabine Bähr and Ludwig Petrovic. When Rieke woke up after a nap below deck, she was alone on board and everything was covered in blood. A robbery? The search for the company boss Weingärtner and Ludwig Petrovic remains fruitless. The colleague Sabine Bähr had left the ship early and pretended to know nothing. But then Weingärtner's body is found in the Elbe. Stabbed to death. A story about aggressive bosses, defensive women and "blind" love.
- So-called "overbarrels" of hazardous waste keep floating in the Elbe. When little Henry (12) pulls one of these barrels onto land, the police are able to prevent something bad from happening at the last moment: In addition to other chemical substances, this barrel also contains a bottle of mercury, which forms a life-threatening neurotoxin when combined with water. In the showdown, the police are able to prevent a mercury catastrophe in little Henry's play hiding place by a hair's breadth.
- Sami witnesses Petra Meister being abused by two men on the banks of the Elbe in the evening. When Sami tries to protect the woman, a fight breaks out and he shoots one of the two attackers in self-defense. The other perpetrator initially escapes, but is arrested after a short manhunt. When confronted, however, the victim suddenly claims not to recognize the attacker and notorious petty criminal Boris Frennzel. Sami, who is plagued by severe feelings of guilt and trauma because of the fatal shot, becomes more and more entangled in the case. In the end, the WaPo investigation reveals that Petra Meister is a victim in two senses of the word and is prepared to do anything for the well-being of her ten-year-old daughter Romy in order to remove her from the dangerous influence of her father Ralf Steiger.

- The body of a young woman who has been missing for 30 years is recovered from the Elbe, encased in a box in concrete. It turns out that the wanted woman, Cordula Ericke, was the victim of a violent crime. The WaPo is now dealing with a cold case from the post-reunification period that has since split an entire village into two deeply hostile camps. Maike and her team must reconcile the two sides in order to solve the case - especially the embittered Martha Siemers, widow of the main suspect at the time, and Ingo Koschwitz, the dead Cordula's hot-tempered ex-boyfriend. But the businessman and local politician Uwe Gomolka, who is considered a man of honor, also seems to play a dubious role in the case.
- Stella Behritz, the 18-year-old daughter of shipowner Wilhelm Behritz, is kidnapped by two masked women on a paddle steamer the morning after her birthday party. The skipper is seriously injured. The kidnappers quickly demand a ransom: 300,000 euros or Stella will die. Her father Wilhelm Behritz does not want to take any risks and pays. But the planned handover fails and the police are tricked: the tracking device in the suitcase does not work and the money has disappeared. And yet Stella is not released. In fact, the kidnapped woman is in cahoots with her kidnappers and wanted to cash in on her stingy father. But Stella has not reckoned with her accomplices: after an argument, they have no intention of sharing the loot and releasing Stella. On the contrary, the kidnappers increase their demand.
