- When he loses his speed, former Major League Baseball pitcher, Kenny Powers (Danny McBride) is forced to move in with his brother in his old home town. Kenny takes a job as a substitute physical education teacher at his old home town.

His path to this comes from former teammate Guy Young, who invites Kenny to be a guest on his talk show. The first attempt fails miserably as he's nearly laughed off the stage. Kenny knows there's only one person who can help him - Steve, who he reunites with, and Steve helps Kenny take down the trash talkers on Guy's program, but is that enough?
- Kenny follows through on a threat to Gene. Stevie gets Kenny a charity to promote during Guy's goodwill dragon boat race. Taking the lead from his dad, Toby tries to find the courage to feed his new pet.
