Oklahoma native Kristin Yancey is trying to make it to Broadway. She takes a job in the office of a NYC developer, known to be a lady's man. Her mid-Western Christian ethics clash with her co-workers.

Tommy sets Kristin up on a date with a salesman from the cell phone store who is also short. When she doesn't like the guy, he won't take the hint to leave her alone.

Tommy becomes jealous when his sleazy friend Peter sweeps Kristin off her feet.

Kristin gets a part in a play that requires a passionate kiss. Tommy tells her he doesn't think she has enough personal experience to play the part.

Aldo is jealous when Tommy hires a new architect who wants to change the design of Ballantine Towers. Kristin tries to keep the peace as their friendship is strained. Turns out the new architect is interested in more than Tommy's building project.

Kristin loses her job after she sends away an important businessman. She has to beg his forgiveness to get back in Tommy's good graces.

Kristin isn't impressed with Santa's brochure design, so she edits it and Tommy loves it. Santa accuses Kristin of kissing up to Tommy to steal her job.

Tommy finds out that Kristin once spent the night in jail, he contacts someone from her past to get the dirt on her. When he uses the info to play a prank on her, she decides to get him back.
