I've liked Rob Lowe in previous shows but this character is totally off the wall and maybe that's the whole point. The writing was abysmal and we kept hoping it would get better but it never did. Every character ended up being irritating and not funny. They took good actors and made complete caricatures out of them.
I agree with another reviewer who said the character of Georgia sucked the life out of the show - she was just too evil. And to have her redeemed late in the series was useless. The therapist was also a sore point - over the top idiocy. Makes me wonder how they got these people to sign on for such a mess.
