Fascinating portrayal of a story that had to be told. A few negatives.

Wow. How did I miss this one for the past 5 years? So timely too with the fringe cults currently wreaking havoc in the U. S. There will always be cults. Humanity desires a sense of belonging. Egomaniacs are being born right now. It is a shame all cults end up damaging their followers in some way. I am so grateful this documentary was made to bring awareness about cults and will serve as a historical archive and reminder.

Unfortunately, I did not like some of the directing, video, and audio. There was constant noise in the background. Foreboding music that didn't seem to belong, clacking, buzzing, and thuds are examples. I would've liked Sheela interviews to be just her voice, no background noise. There is repeat footage in episode 4, so much that I kept checking to be sure I wasn't viewing episode 1 or 2. And I kept waiting for more videos of the man with 5 names, Bhagwan. Like wth is it about him? Every video of him was like he was on drugs. The super slow speaking wasn't convincing to me. That man was on freaking drugs. Weirdo. People are so dumb to follow anything like this . Don't do it!
