(1954) Blackout/ Murder by Proxy CRIME DRAMA

Adapted from the novel "Murder by Proxy" by Helen Nielsen that has Phyllis Brunner (Belinda Lee) offering.an already wasted customer, Casey Morrow (Dane Clark) a drink. Casey of course accepts, and while sitting together, she then offers him to make some quick money of 500 pounds if he agrees he would marry her. And by the time both of them leave, we then see Casey woken up in someone else's flat. At first he thought he was at the girl he met at her apartment but as it turned out it was someone else's. And although, he sees a painting of Phyillis Brunner right on front of him along with other paintings , she was not exactly the person who he though he should be seeing. As it turned out, the apartment belonged to an artist, Margaret Doone (Eleanor Summerfield) and he wondered how he got there in the first place. As soon as he gets satisfied with the answers she was giving him, he then leaves, but as soon as he walks past the newspaper stand, he then sees on top of the headline of "Darius Brunner" found murdered. And that his daughter who is a heiress happens to be missing. And upon seeing Phyllis again at Margaret's apartment viewers then get a little more insight how her father was killed which was presumed to be a steel fireplace poker. This gives viewers the presumption it was a frame up to make it appear a drunk guy like Casey murdered him so that someone may be able to benefit. Phyllis believes it is close associate, Lance Gordon (Andrew Osborn).
