It is a well executed movie. The acting was good and the director has gone an out of the way to bring logic in a horror movie to connect the new story. There are a few things executed differently from the regular cliche.
There is one big issue with though, it is trying to sell superstition as science. I understand that it is a movie but in the age of misinformation an average viewer will just take things at the face value. Seriously? Quantum entanglement? And there is a mixture of Buddhism and Christianity. I am no expert but I don't think Buddhism has any such superstitions. I liked the first version better but you can still give it a watch once.
