'Make Hiroin ga Ôsugiru!" or "Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroins" is based a light novel series, of which unfortunately the genre has a reputation for being mass produced and disposable.
However, author Tabiki Amamori is very talented, and this series - his first - won him a light novel award in 2021. At one point the he had nearly given up on writing. Thankfully for us, he did not.
What distinguishes this series (both TV and manga versions) is that it represents a true slice of life experience that many teenagers go through - falling in love, having unrequited love, being rejected, etc.
The animation is well done: I really like the use of water colors and lighting. The character designs are also nice. Sound design and music are equally good. Lastly but not least, the voice actors are all excellent.
This drama is utterly believable, as are the character developments during the 12 episodes. I really enjoyed it!
