“Adolescence” was being talked about as this year’s “Baby Reindeer” when it first debuted, being another surprise hit Netflix limited series from the U.K. making huge ratings wins without a massive marketing campaign, but it’s now in a class of its own.
The series has joined Netflix’s list of its most popular English-language TV series of all time at No. 9 with 96.7 million views thus far, pushing “Stranger Things” Season 3 (94.8 million) down to No. 10 and knocking “Bridgerton” Season 2 (93.8 million) off the list.
The feat becomes even more impressive considering that “Adolescence” achieved the total in just 17 days. Netflix measures its most popular series lists accounting for 91 days of viewership, meaning “Adolescence” has more than two months to keep climbing higher.

The “Dexter” mythology continues. “Dexter: Original Sin” has been renewed for a Season 2 at Paramount+ with Showtime.
Showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips will return to the series. Though production dates have yet to be set, TheWrap has learned the writers room for this upcoming season will be opening soon.
This renewal is far from surprising given the popularity of Season 1. That installment was the most streamed Showtime original that the network has seen in 10 years, a boost that likely has to do with Showtime’s streaming options moving exclusively to the more robust Paramount+ in 2023. The season finale for Season 1 scored 2.68 million global viewers, making it the most-watched episode of the season. The series also saw over 15 million engagements across social media during Season 1.

This will be far from Fillion’s first time playing a Lantern. Following a world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2023, Neon’s “Hell of a Summer” is gearing up for a release on April 4. The Finn Wolfhard and Billy Bryk co-directed film celebrated its New York City premiere on Tuesday, April 1 at Village East in Manhattan.
Though the best friends have shared the screen several times, from “When You Finish Saving the World” in 2022 to most recently last year in 2024 with “Saturday Night,” their latest is a pivotal time as the duo each makes their directorial debuts. “It’s just a different perspective that you get when you’re directing actors and you’re not on the other side,” Wolfhard told IndieWire about being on the other side of the camera for the first time. “It really puts into perspective how hard acting is. We last saw The Handmaid’s Tale‘s June (Elisabeth Moss) on a train with baby Nichole, hoping to get as far away from Gilead as she possibly could. It’s a kind of twisted love story. They can’t quit each other. They’re on their way away from Gilead in this [first] episode, thinking that they’re leaving it behind – but you can’t leave your past unresolved. [Editor’s note: This review contains spoilers for “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 1, Episode 7.]
What makes a good supervillain? The answer is hard to pin down and its results will make or break a hero’s story — just look at the MCU. From Loki to Justin Hammer to Malekith, a superhero film or franchise hinges upon how good the bad guy is.
“Daredevil: Born Again” is mostly free of that pressure, thanks to the three seasons of “Marvel’s Daredevil” that aired on Netflix (now available on Disney+) and established Wilson Fisk a.k.a. Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio). But to sustain the resurrected series, showrunner Dario Scardapane and his writers had to build out the secondary and tertiary antagonists enough to sustain the series week-to-week. So far there’s been Luca (Patrick Murney), Devlin (Cillian O’Sullivan), Powell (Hamish Allen-Headley), and Fisk’s cronies Buck (Arty Froushan) and Daniel (Michael Gandolfini) — and Episode 7 takes the mask of Muse (Hunter Doohan).

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 3 Episode 2 “Badge #41870.”] Alert: Missing Persons Unit just delivered its most shocking episode yet. Ahead of the season, the trailer revealed that Nikki (Dania Ramirez) would be kidnapped, and that moment comes at the beginning of the second episode, “Badge #41870.” The episode also introduces Chief Inspector Bill Houston (recurring guest star Malcolm-Jamal Warner), who wasn’t a fan of the way Jason (Scott Caan) did things in the past; he says that they’re going to start over because he’s learned to take the good with the bad. There are more pressing concerns: He’s looking for Nikki because someone she arrested for felony assault, Raina (Sharon Taylor), is out on early parole. Nikki’s phone is going straight to voicemail, and then Gps of her car leads them to it … outside the city and completely burned. The only good news? It’s empty and...

[The following post contains Major spoilers for the Tuesday, April 1, episode of Jeopardy!] Bryce Wargin, from Kansas City, Missouri, returned for his second game of Jeopardy! after defeating six-day champion Josh Weikert. He faced two new competitors, one of whom did not qualify for Final Jeopardy. Wargin had a one-day total of $15,400. The post-market surveillance coordinator played against Conner Huey from Bremerton, Washington, and Kristen Ramsey from Storrs, Connecticut, on Tuesday (April 1) night. The first round didn’t start out too well for the newbies. Wargin was the only one on the plus side after 15 clues — Wargin had $6,200, Huey had -$800, and Ramsey had -$400. Huey, a student, incorrectly answered the first Daily Double, causing him to go into the negatives. The clue read, “An animated short set to this piece by composer Paul Dukas eventually grew into the film Fantasia.” He didn’t know the answer and lost $600, giving him a total of -$600. The correct answer was The ...

However, his long-awaited turn didn’t start on the best foot because he fell before he could even make it on stage. City Councilman Neil Lipsitz got called to “come on down!” on the Monday, March 24, episode. As announcer George Gray called his name, the camera panned around the audience but couldn’t find him. Eventually, he showed up on screen as the camera panned back to the other contestants at the podium. Lipsitz waved his arms in the air and clutched his chest as he took his spot at the podium. “Neil!” host Drew Carey said. “Where were you?” Lipstiz threw his arms up and explained that he had fallen on the floor, even though his fall was edited out of the episode.

A Wheel of Fortune contestant lost the game because he said the wrong thing on a crossword puzzle. Fans of the game show blamed host Ryan Seacrest because he didn’t remind the contestants of the rules beforehand. Todd Meyer, from Las Vegas, Nevada, played against Sheree Corder, from Tampa, Florida, and Latricia Randolph, from Franklin, Tennessee, on Monday, March 31. Corder, who loves traveling and adventure, solved the first tossup — “Expect the unexpected” — and the second — “Model airplane kit” — adding $3,000 to her bank in the beginning. She also went on to solve the next puzzle, gaining a Wild Card, earning a total of $6,600. But the next puzzle was what made fans angry. It was a rare crossword, where all of the words in the puzzle related to the category and crossed over with one letter, like a crossword would. The category was “Party.” The contestants had to guess four words in the puzzle.
