Frasier Crane will once again be looking for a new home.
Paramount+ says it won’t go ahead with a third season of Frasier, its revival of the Must See TV-era NBC comedy starring Kelsey Grammer. The news comes two months after the show’s second season concluded.
CBS Studios, which produces the show, says it will look to find a new home for Frasier, which follows Dr. Frasier Crane (Grammer) as he returns to Boston and takes a teaching post at Harvard in order to forge a better relationship with his now-adult son Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott). Nicholas Lyndhurst, Toks Olagundoye, Jess Salguiero and Anders Keith also star; Frasier alumni Peri Gilpin, Bebe Neuwirth, Harriet Sansom Harris, Dan Butler and Edward Hibbert have made guest appearances.
The first rumblings of a Frasier revival came in early 2021; Paramount+ gave it a series order in October 2022, and it premiered a year later.

Ted Sarandos has joined the many others in the entertainment industry paying tribute to David Lynch, who died Thursday at 78. Netflix co-ceo Sarandos shared a tribute on Instagram to honor one of his “all time favorite filmmakers” and noted that Lynch had been in contact with the streamer to direct a limited series. The production went unrealized due to complications caused by the Covid pandemic and, later, “health uncertainties.” In 2024, Lynch publicly disclosed that he had been diagnosed with emphysema after a lifetime of smoking, and that any future directing would have to be done remotely.
“He came into Netflix to pitch a limited series which we jumped at,” Sarandos wrote. “It was a David Lynch production, so filled with mystery and risks but we wanted to go on this creative ride with this genius. First Covid, then some health uncertainties lead to this project never being produced but we...

After the twisty finale for season two of Silo, Apple TV+ has made it official and tapped Ashley Zukerman and Jessica Henwick to star in the upcoming third season of the popular sci-fi series.
Zukerman, who played Nate on HBO’s Succession, will star as Daniel, a young and hungry congressman, while Iron Fist’s Henwick will play Helen, a whip-smart reporter. Season three of Silo will continue to be showrun by Graham Yost and will see Rebecca Ferguson returning as Juliette, an engineer who has sought answers about a loved one’s murder.
At the end of season two, Juliette returned to the silo amid a flashback to contemporary Washington D.C. that could well have foreshadowed the drama of the upcoming season. Apple TV earlier renewed Silo for two more seasons to allow the show to tell a complete story based on a trilogy of novels by Hugh Howey.

In the film, Foxx and Diaz play former CIA spies pulled back into the world of espionage after their secret identities are exposed. And while some X users aren’t loving the movie, everyone seems ready to welcome Diaz back to their screens. “It’s been a decade, but Cameron Diaz hasn’t missed a beat,” posted user @Heyvennilavu. “Back in Action is going to be a treat.” “#NowWatching Back In Action. I am watching this only because I missed seeing Cameron Diaz and also Jamie Foxx as well. Let’s go,” wrote another X user. Netflix “Oh lord, I missed Cameron Diaz. #BackInAction,...

Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers for Season 2, Episode 1 of “Severance,” streaming now on Apple TV+.
When a 15-year-old Sarah Bock first read the script for the second season premiere of “Severance” way back in 2022, all she knew about her character was a job title: the “newest deputy manager” of Lumon Industries — a corporate position that would seem much too mature to be played by a high-schooler who looks barely old enough to be an office intern, let alone the boss.
Of course, that was the point. “I didn’t know much about her other than her position but I...

Bill Maher had scathing words for government officials and their wildfire response in his home of Los Angeles in the Real Time Season 23 premiere. As the Palisades and Eaton Fires continued to burn in the LA area, Maher told viewers that “[we] need a better plan for putting out a burning city than waiting for rain.” He said: “Axios ran a story on how getting the water out of the hydrants in Pacific Palisades was more complicated than it seems. I’m sure it is. I’m sure it’s very complicated. That’s why I pay 13 percent of my income in this state every year to people who I assumed were working on things like this. When asked why so many of the hydrants in the Palisades ran out of water, Gov. Newsom said, ‘The local folks are trying to figure that out.’ Yeah, you got to do that before the fire.

Remember that Saturday Night Live parent-teacher conference sketch from a few years back? If it were set in England, Sudeikis’ character had a free-spirit wife, and guns were somehow involved, you’d essentially have the premiere of The Couple Next Door.
The psychological thriller’s first season aired in its entirety in the United Kingdom in 2023, but its first episode debuted on Starz Friday, allowing fans of the network’s time-travel romance, Outlander, to watch leading man Sam Heughan — he stars in both series — sport period-drama breeks and motorcycle leathers all within a two-hour span.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Couple Next Door, Season 1 Episode 1, “Welcome to Suburbia.”] The Couple Next Door has finally arrived on Starz and it feels as though a ticking time bomb is about to go off in suburbia as couple Danny (Sam Heughan) and Becka (Jessica De Gouw) meet newest neighbors, Evie (Eleanor Tomlinson) and Pete (Alfred Enoch). Danny is a traffic cop and Becka’s a yoga instructor, but they’ve got quite a progressive view when it comes to marriage, agreeing to have an open relationship as long as their extracurricular activities are a group endeavor. That’s quite a leap from the new couple on the block, who have been together since university and are expecting a baby. Things take a startling turn though as Evie, a teacher, is told by one of her students that she can’t feel the baby. This prompts Evie to get a checkup and it...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Way Home Season 3 Episode 3 “Live and Let Die.”] The Way Home just introduced possibly the most intriguing character of Season 3. Kat (Chyler Leigh) once again uses the pond on her family’s land to time travel and ends up running into her father’s grandmother, Fern. “Twenty-five first arrive, 25 never tried. Sixty-five, thought they died, 65, still alive,” Fern says, and when after Kat introduces herself, Fern assures “Kitty Kat” that she knows her way home. There’s something about it that seems familiar. Once back at the farm, Fern points to lemon madeleines, just like Kat’s grandmother used to make. Did Fern’s daughter-in-law make these? “Such a good girl, that one,” Fern shares. “She raised two boys. She kept this farm going all on her own when we lost my son.” She then begins singing “Beautiful Dreamer” and encourages Kat, “you know the words.” Meanwhile, in the present,...

The genre-hybrid project, both directed by and starring Kitano, takes an innovative approach by splitting its runtime into two distinct segments. Sadly, we never got to see David Lynch’s final project make it to television.
The celebrated auteur, who died Thursday at the age of 78, was working on a limited series for Netflix in the years preceding his death, the streamer’s CEO Ted Sarandos revealed in a Instagram tribute to Lynch. Years after they first met, Lynch “came into Netflix to pitch a limited series which we jumped at,” Sarandos explained. “It was a David Lynch production, so filled with mystery and risks but we wanted to go on this creative ride with this genius.”

[Warning: The below contains spoilers for Gold Rush Season 15, Episode 11.] The January 17 episode of Gold Rush marked a major milestone for Rick Ness. The 43-year-old’s goal was to own his claim outright and officially be a Yukon land owner at Duncan Creek. It’s a journey that goes back to 2012 when he drove his $1,500 truck up to Alaska. He decided to take a job with a young gold miner named Parker Schnabel. After breaking out on his own, Ness gambled on buying a remote piece of ground. Now after five years, he made the final 250-ounce payment on the property to Troy Taylor. He officially went all in despite the uncertainty regarding the water license. Ness can’t think about next year with a 1,500-ounce season goal to attain. Elsewhere, Tony Beets has enjoyed success at his Indian River and Paradise Hill claims. Eldest son Kevin was still struggling to get the first taste of...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Outlander, Season 7 Episode 16, “A Hundred Thousand Angels.”] Outlander may have answered a few questions, but it also raised dozens more in its Season 7 finale, “A Hundred Thousand Angels.” For those who have yet to tune in, now is a good time to turn back, because we’re about to delve into one of the show’s biggest spoilers to date. The finale teased that Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire’s (Caitriona Balfe) first daughter, Faith, may have actually lived despite being stillborn in Season 2’s aptly titled installment, “Faith.” This episode hints at the possibility that rather than staying buried in France, as they once believed, Faith actually lived and the Pocock sisters, Jane (Silvia Presente) and Fanny (Florrie May Wilkinson), are her children. While this revelation, which is made in Season 7’s final moments isn’t fully confirmed, it’s one that certainly excites Heughan. Starz “It’s going...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the January 17 episode of Jeopardy!] Well, that was an unexpected bet. The Jeopardy! Champions Wildcard Tournament is unique in that losing players have a chance to play again if their cumulative score is high enough. Because of that, it’s wise (and common) for players in this tournament bet low in Final Jeopardy or wager nothing at all so they can keep their scores as high as possible no matter if their answer is right or wrong. But one player didn’t protect their final score at all in the game that aired on Friday, January 17, the last before the semifinals. They bet it all and lost it all, and now they won’t be back in this tournament. Adam Hersh, a lawyer from Brooklyn, New York, was in the lead for the first two rounds of the game, but Marko Saric, a math professor from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, took the lead ...
