David Cartwright was born in Oakville Ontario Canada. He received his BA in film and television from Sheridan College. Where he directed his first Documentary Walter which won best documentary at Canada Shorts Film Festival. He would later go on to Direct The Perfect Game and Missing Person which both won major prizes at the Toronto Shorts International Film Festival.
