Starz has acquired “Finding Kendrick Johnson,” setting a December 2021 release date for writer-director Jason Pollock’s new documentary as part of the network’s holiday slate.

Narrated by Jenifer Lewis (“Black-ish”) and produced by Malcolm D. Lee alongside Pollock, “Finding Kendrick Johnson” is the product of an undercover, four-year investigation into the case of Kendrick Johnson, who was 17 years old when he was found dead in a rolled-up gym mat at Lowndes High School in 2013.

The documentary follows the course of events after an initial — and widely considered to be botched — investigation when the state of Georgia ruled Kj’s death accidental from positional asphyxiation. A Black Panther mural featuring late actor Chadwick Boseman, who brought alive the popular superhero on screen, has been unveiled at Disneyland.

The theme park unveiled the mural in its Downtown Disney shopping district, California. The artwork by Nikkolas Smith has the late star giving the famous Wakanda salute to a young fan wearing a "Black Panther" mask, reports variety.com.

Disneyland unveiled a Chadwick Boseman mural in its Downtown Disney shopping district. The artwork from Nikkolas Smith shows the late Marvel star giving the Wakanda salute to a young fan wearing a “Black Panther” mask.

Smith shared photos of his work on Thursday via Instagram, in which he is giving the Wakanda salute in front of the mural.

“This one is special. My King Chad tribute is now on a wall on display at Downtown Disney,” he wrote. “It is a full circle moment for me: my final two projects as a Disney Imagineer last summer were working on the children’s hospital project and the Avengers Campus.”

The child in the mural is wearing a hospital gown, to honor the late “Black Panther” star who visited children with cancer at St. Jude campus, while waging a private battle with the disease. The installation is titled “King Chad.

We’re now almost a month removed from Chadwick Boseman‘s tragic death and millions of people around the globe are still reeling. The Black Panther star was an inspiration to so many, admired and respected by his peers in Hollywood and no doubt had a very long and exciting career ahead of him.

And now, as we continue to mourn, more and more tributes are pouring out in all different forms. Earlier this week, the Emmys showed some love for the actor and today, we have a rather stunning mural that’s been painted at Anaheim’s Downtown Disney in his honor.

Disney honored Chadwick Boseman on Thursday by unveiling a new mural of the Black Panther star at Anaheim’s Downtown Disney. The installation was created by concept artist and former Disney Imagineer Nikkolas Smith.

The inscription on the mural reads:

“As a former Disney Imagineer, I had the honor of working on a major children’s hospital initiative and Avengers Campus as my final two assignments. Seeing Chadwick’s heart for people in-person, and later discovering his courageous battle with cancer, I was inspired to create this tribute to honor his life and legacy. To us, he was and will always be T’Challa. Long Live The King.”

Boseman died August 28 at age 43 after a four-year battle with colon cancer. The actor, in addition to being part of Disney’s Marvel family, also played Thurgood Marshall, James Brown and Jackie Robinson in biopics. His death sent shockwaves around Hollywood and his global fan base,...

Artist Nikkolas Smith has painted a mural of Chadwick Boseman that Disney has commissioned to appear on a wall in Downtown Disney in Anaheim.

Smith, who worked as a Disney Imagineer and who has become known for his recent artwork of George Floyd and Colin Kaepernick, said he witnessed the late “Black Panther” star’s impact on the world when he worked at a children’s hospital and on the Avengers Campus.

“This one is special. My King Chad tribute is now on a wall on display at Downtown Disney,” Smith wrote Thursday on Instagram along with a video of the unveiling. “To millions of kids, T’Challa was a legend larger than life, and there was no one more worthy to fill those shoes than Chadwick Boseman. I’m so thankful to be able to honor Chadwick’s life and purpose in this way.”
