Netflix has released the first teaser for the murder mystery series “The Residence.”

The Shondaland series will premiere on Netflix on March 20. Uzo Aduba stars as detective Cordelia Cupp, who must investigate a murder at the White House. It is inspired by the book of the same name by Kate Andersen Brower. It will consist of eight episodes.

Updated: We’re getting the first look at The Residence, Shondaland’s comedic murder-mystery drama series starring Uzo Abuba and Randall Park.

“Mr. President, this house needs to be treated like a crime scene,” says Aduba’s Cordelia in the trailer dropped Thursday by Netflix. “There’s a dead body on the third floor of the White House” she adds. “There’s a murderer out there” and Cordelia is determined to find whoever it is.

Shondaland is giving us another White House scandal this spring. The Residence, a “screwball whodunit” set in the halls of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, will drop its eight-episode first season on Thursday, March 20. And now, we have our first teaser, which you can watch above.

Inspired by Kate Andersen Brower’s book of the same name, The Residence stars Uzo Aduba as Cordelia Cupp, “the most sought-after detective in the world.” According to her official description, she’s “wry, funny, relentless, supremely confident, an astute observer of human behavior… and a legendary birder.”
