Rita Angel Taylor
- Actress
"Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved." - William Jennings Bryan
As an immigrant from Fortaleza, Brazil --- one of the most dangerous cities in the world --- Rita Angel Taylor is the embodiment of "choice" and "achievement".
At age three, Rita was discovered by a model scout at a Dallas, Texas, Starbucks. Rita became a successful child model for three years, until JCPenney photographers encouraged her to pursue acting. At age six, Rita moved to Los Angeles, California, and booked her first audition as a guest-star on Nickelodeon's "Sam & Cat" starring Ariana Grande. Inspired by Ariana to pursue music, Rita began intensive piano, guitar, and vocal lessons. At age seven, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she became a successful street performer for two years. At age nine, Rita returned to Los Angeles to pursue careers in both acting and music.
Today, at age 16, Rita is a high school graduate with a 4.0 GPA. She is writing a screenplay, as well as original music for a classic rock EP she hopes to release later this year in 2024. Rita occasionally performs live across the USA and abroad. Her music projects haven't dampened her enthusiasm for acting. Her TV credits now include multiple co-star and guest-star roles, as well as two prior series-regular roles.
Rita cherishes the time she spends with her family and friends. As one of the first Brazilian kids to find success in the USA entertainment industry, Rita has instilled hope in Latin kids all over the world who wish to pursue the American Dream.
