Amy Letcher is an award winning South African actress and voiceover artist, who has gained prominence in the US and UK television and film industries with roles in popular series such as NCIS (2003), Black Sails (2014), PBC (2022), The Romanoffs (2018), Hooten & the Lady (2016), Blood Drive (2017), and the multi-award winning horror-comedy OverKill (2019).
Born and raised in South Africa, Amy trained at AFDA Cape Town and The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, before working on several award winning series - NCIS (2003), Black Sails (2014), The Romanoffs (2018) - and creating and starring in her own solo show, which saw its New York debut on Theatre row in the world renowned United Solo Theatre Festival. In 2021, she was cast as a lead in the new office comedy PBC (2022), alongside Danny Trejo, Kate Flannery, Creed Bratton and Pete Gardner. She has also worked in voiceover, most notably lending her voice to the fictional narrative podcast The Left Right Game (2020) alongside Tessa Thompson and Aml Ameen.
In addition to her work as a performer, Amy is an NABJJF gold-medalist Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter (2022 NABJJF All Americas Champion); has competed on a national level in long distance running and high jump; works as an accent specialist, coach and researcher; rides horses (english and western); and is skilled in stage & screen combat - all of which lend themselves to her love of the fantasy and Sci-Fi genres. She's is an avid traveler, tree-climber and novelist, and loves nothing better than a good cup of tea.
