Carol Ann Coronado, who murdered her three young daughters, was sentenced Monday to life in prison without parole, People confirms. Coronado was found guilty of three counts of first-degree murder on Nov. 30, 2015 after a bench trial. Coronado was arrested in May after her three young daughters - 2-year-old Sophia, 16 month-old Yazmine and 2-month old Xenia - were found dead in their home. Coronado slit their throats and stabbed them in the hearts with kitchen knives before laying them on a bed. Tobe Hooper’s 1982 spook chiller, Poltergeist, was destined to get remade. Possessing all of the necessary traits to warrant a modern-day reinvention, the finished product will soon be upon us. Directed by Gil Keenan and produced by Sam Raimi, the film is being touted as a reboot-sequel which, as confusing as that seem, worked for Raimi’s Evil Dead II.

This time around, Poltergeist will follow Jared Harris’ leading character, Carrigan. Foregoing a life of scholarship to instead become the host of his own TV show, ‘Haunted House Cleaners’, he crosses paths with a young couple (played by Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie Dewitt) and their family. Their haunted abode becomes the focus of his work, and now, thanks to an interview with Collider, Rockwell has let slip a few more details on the concept.

But first, here’s his initial thoughts on the project overall:

Former FremantleMedia UK chief executive Sara Geater has won the race to become chair of Pact council in the organisation’s first contested election in at least 14 years.

Geater secured the most votes from Pact members who are qualifying indies, beating Nine Lives Media boss Cat Lewis and Outline Productions managing director Laura Mansfield to the role. Both will remain council members.

Geater left Fremantle in May and is now executive chair of fledgling drama producer Emerald Films, which is run by Carol Ann and Aileen Docherty.

In her manifesto, Geater said she would use her experience at C4, ITV, the BBC and Fremantle to help Pact “face some very big issues in 2015/16”, including charter renewal and terms of trade negotiations.

In January she will replace Keo Films managing director Debbie Manners, who stepped down after five years as chair of the council having served her term.

The Big Bang Theory is dealing with the loss of their beloved cast member, Carol Ann Susi.

Susi passed away at the age of 62 on Nov. 11, after battling terminal cancer. Although unseen by viewers, she was an essential part of the show, playing the voice of Mrs. Wolowitz, Howard's (Simon Helberg) mother.

Susi was best known for her work on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory, voicing the unseen Mrs. Wolowitz – the domineering mother of Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg.)

Carol Ann Susi, best known as the voice of Howard Wolowitz’s unseen mother on The Big Bang Theory, has died after a short battle with an aggressive cancer, her rep confirmed Tuesday.

In addition to the CBS sitcom, the Brooklyn, N.Y., native appeared on countless TV shows during her 40-year career, including Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty, That ’70s Show, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Just Shoot Me and Seinfeld.
