Patricio Aylwin nació el 26 de noviembre de 1918 en Chile. Fue un actor, conocido por No (2012), Patio 29 (1998) y Caiga quien caiga (2002). Estuvo casado con Leonor Oyarzun. Murió el 19 de abril de 2016 en Chile.
He helped to restore democracy to Chile after 17 years of harsh dictatorship under General Pinochet, and was later elected president. He appointed an independent commission that found that 3,197 people were killed for political reasons under Pinochet. The report paved the way for the first trials of military officers, which years later would reach Pinochet himself.
