Lukasz L.U.C. Rostkowski is an award-winning conceptual composer, art director and producer, author of 17 LP albums, many TV productions (Top Model, Erynie), film and animation scoring. His Sleepoholic music was chosen by the Oscar winners Emmanuel Lubezki and Alejandro Inarritu to their special VR project Carne y Arena awarded a special Oscar at the Academy's 9th Annual Governor's Awards. He's an author of many multimedia spectacles and has worked with famous composers (Krzysztof Penderecki, Leszek Mozdzer, Krzysztof Herdzin) and animators like Oscar winners Zbigniew Rybczynski, Dk & Hugh Welchman and Tomasz Baginski. His latest production is painted adaptation of Nobel Prize novel The Peasants / Chlopi, produced by Oscar winning studio BreakThru Films.
In 2015, under the patronage of the European Capital of Culture Wroclaw 2016, he founded the international big band Rebel Babel Film Orchestra, of which he became the leader. This charismatic artist is appreciated for the scale and courage of his productions, eclecticism, original performances and unconventional musical solutions. In his compositions, he deliberately crosses numerous genres, creating on the border of nu jazz, trip-hop, hip-hop, reggae, folk, electronics and classics. Rostkowski composed and recorded with many outstanding instrumentalists and vocalists, including Urszula Dudziak, Zbigniew Namyslowski, Leszek Mozdzer, Pokahontaz, Kaliber 44, Maria Peszek, Krystyna Pronko, Grubson, Promoe, Rapsusklei and the Icelandic Mum, he collaborated with the world's best DJ artists, such as DJ Qbert and DJ Eprom, as well as with prestigious orchestras, brass bands, including the winners Grammy Awards Hot 8 Brass Band.
