    • Jochen Mass was born on September 30, 1946 in Dorfen, Bavaria, Germany. He is known for Rush (2013), Formula 1 (1950) and Telespiele (1977). He was married to Esti and Bettina. He died on May 4, 2025 in Cannes, Alpes-Maritimes, France.

  • Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for: Surtees (1973 (3 GPs)-1974 (10 GPs)), McLaren (1974 (2 GPs)-1975 (14 GPs)-1976 (16 GPs)-1977 (17 GPs)), ATS (1978 (10 GPs)), Arrows (1979 (13 GPs)-1980 (11 GPs)) and March (1982 (9 GPs)). He started 105 Grands Prix, 1 Win, 2 Fastests Laps, 8 Podiums and 71 Points. Best ranked in the World Championship: 6th in 1977.
  • He won the 1989 24 Hours of Le Mans.
  • Jochen Mass drove the Mercedes-Benz museum's historic cars. In the 2004 Mille Miglia, he drove the original Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR that Stirling Moss had driven to victory in the 1955 race. To raise money for charity, the passenger seat next to him was auctioned off to the highest bidder.
  • From 1993 to 1997, Mass was a Formula One co-commentator for the German broadcaster RTL.
  • His interest in racing started late when he attended a hillclimbing race where his girlfriend worked as a steward. He then quit working on a ship and started an apprenticeship at an Alfa Romeo dealership in Mannheim. The owner entered Alfas in numerous racing events, saw Mass' talent which started his racing career.
