- Christine List is a filmmaker and screenwriter living in Chicago. Her films have been screened internationally, including at the Havana International Film Festival, the Trieste International Film Festival and the AFI Sony International Video Festival. List's awards for directing include Audience Choice Award at the Chicago Latino International Film Festival for "Don't Tempt Us: The Students of Guatemala" narrated by Edward James Olmos; the Screening Prize at the Wordsworth International Film Festival for "Respuesta," the Audience Choice Award at the Black Harvest International Film Festival for "Swimmin' Lesson," co-produced/directed with Shahari Moore, and the Festival Director's Award from the Diversity in Cannes International Film Festival 2016 for "B Love," co-produced/directed with Shahari Moore. Her awards for screenwriting include the Final Draft Award for Best Feature Screenplay from the San Diego International Kids Film Festival. List recently shot a feature-length documentary in Russia about the African heritage of poet Alexander Pushkin and is in development on a television pilot with Christine Houston, the creator of the NBC hit sitcom "227." Their book, The Screenwriter's Guidebook: Inspiring Lessons for Film and Television Writers is available through Third World Press.
