The 2025 PaleyFest lineup for Los Angeles has been revealed, and the nine-day event will feature a special tribute to Emmy-winning showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino that reunites the casts of Gilmore Girls and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, along with her upcoming Étoile.

In addition, PaleyFest L.A. will celebrate the final seasons of The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu) and Cobra Kai (Netflix/Sony), plus Severance (Apple TV+), Agatha All Along (Disney+/Marvel), Matlock (CBS), Hacks (Max), and Poker Face (Peacock). The event will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood from March 21 to March 29.

The event, which launched in 1984, features screenings, Q&As, and meet-and-greets. The organization supports the Paley Center’s education initiatives as well as the preservation of the Paley Archive, featuring more than 160,000 historically significant television and radio programs.

“Cobra Kai,” “Agatha All Along,” “Matlock,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Hacks,” “Poker Face” and the Amy Sherman-Palladino series “Gilmore Girls,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and “Étoile” have been added to the roster of this year’s PaleyFest LA event. They join the previously announced “Severance” screening and panel, which kicks off this year’s festival on Friday, March 21.

The 2025 edition of PaleyFest LA returns once again to Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, and will take place over the course of eight days — through Saturday, March 29. As tradition, the event includes episodic screenings, followed by panel discussions with series stars and producers.

We’re still a few months away from The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6.

But we’re getting a new glimpse of the dystopian drama’s final act thanks to some first-look photos and new 2025 sizzle reel footage from Hulu and Disney+.

The show is set to return in spring, though no specific release date has been announced.

Filming on the sixth and final season of “The Handmaid’s Tale” has, at long last, begun, Hulu announced on Friday. The network shared a photo of star Elisabeth Moss, who’s also directing and holding a clapboard, with the note that the Emmy-winning series will return in spring of 2025.

It’s been nearly two years since the Season 5 finale and a year-and-a-half since executive producers Erich Tuchman and Yahlin Chang were named co-showrunners for Season 6.

Longtime showrunner and series creator Bruce Miller stepped away from the drama after five seasons to focus on the development of its upcoming sequel series “The Testaments,” which like “Handmaid’s Tale” is based on the book of the same name by Margaret Atwood. The final season of The Handmaid’s Tale is finally underway.

Hulu on Friday shared an image of series lead Elisabeth Moss holding a slate from the opening day of filming on the show’s sixth and last season. The slate shows that cameras began rolling on Sept. 3 — and that Moss is directing the first episode (she previously helmed six episodes across seasons four and five).

The Disney-owned streamer also said that season six will premiere in spring 2025, which will mean about a 2 1/2-year gap between the season five finale, which debuted Nov. 9, 2022, and the final season opener. Production on The Handmaid’s Tale had been scheduled to resume in fall 2023 but was pushed back as striking writers and actors negotiated for, and eventually won, better contracts with media companies. Lining up schedules for the show’s cast further moved the start date to this week.

Over the course of five seasons, we’ve watched June’s journey to escape Gilead in The Handmaid’s Tale. The series has certainly grown from what it originally started, which was about surviving this horrific world. It’s become one about the different individual journeys for handmaids, Marthas, and wives.

Oscar winner Adrien Brody is set to make his London theater debut with The Fear of 13, a new play by Lindsey Ferrentino (Ugly Lies the Bone). Directed by Justin Martin, The Fear of 13 will run from October 4 through November 30 at the Donmar Warehouse.

Based on the 2015 documentary film by David Sington, The Fear of 13 is the true story of Nick Yarris who in the early 1980s was charged with the kidnapping and attempted murder of a police officer in Pennsylvania. He was acquitted, but while awaiting trial became a suspect in a different case and was convicted of the abduction, rape and murder of a young woman and sentenced to death. He spent 22 years on death row in Pennsylvania and was released in 2004 when DNA evidence established his innocence.
