This year, Margot Robbie is all about serious biopics, including her Oscar-buzzed performance as Tonya Harding in I, Tonya. But she's ready to get back to a blockbuster franchise and her most iconic role yet. As the DC villain Harley Quinn, Robbie was one of the best parts of last year's Suicide Squad, garnering critical acclaim while also inspiring a popular cosplay phenomenon. Both she and fans are anticipating the character's return as soon as possible, but it's still unknown in which project Harley will make her next appearance. There's the Suicide Squad sequel, potentially arriving in 2019, there's the female-focused spin-off Gotham City Sirens and there's the proposed Joker and Harley Quinn "criminal love story" movie. Now we learn of...

I’ve long had a soft spot for stories that transplant Batman to different times. The best is probably Gotham By Gaslight, which imagines a Victorian Batman tangling with Jack the Ripper, but I also have a huge soft spot for Grant Morrison’s time-hopping miniseries Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne, in which we see Caveman Batman, Witchhunter Batman, Pirate Batman, Cowboy Batman and 30s Gumshoe Batman. So, I’m naturally over the moon with this new trailer for Batman Ninja.
First announced at the New York Comic-Con, the project is the brainchild of DC and a number of anime and manga superstars. Namely, Junpei Mizusaki (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure), Takashi Okazashi (Afro Samurai), and Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann).
From what I can tell from the trailer, the movie opens with Batman and the Joker engaged in a typically tense battle to the death, only to find themselves hurled back to medieval Japan.

Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn was undoubtedly the breakout character of last year’s Suicide Squad, so it’s unsurprising that the actor and Warner Bros. are developing a spinoff project for the character. Perhaps more surprising is the fact that it’s just one of a number of Harley-centric movies in development, and this latest one she's speaking of doesn't seem to have been reported on before.
This movie, she told MTV's Josh Horowitz, was “totally separate” from projects like Gotham City Sirens, the Joker/Harley team-up movie or Suicide Squad 2. “There’s a lot going...

With Suicide Squad 2, Gotham City Sirens, and a Joker and Harley spin-off in the works, Harley Quinn is about to be all over our big screens. And Margot Robbie says you can add one more Harley-centric project to your bucket list: a solo movie. I can’t imagine working at DC Films, and trying to sort to sort through all the projects they have moving in various stages in development. In must be a Kafka-esque experience, especially as the temperate at the company seems to change every day (and usually, getting cooler). But if one thing has become clear, everyone really loves Margot Robbie‘s portrayal of Harley Quinn in “Suicide Squad.”
Since the release of David Ayer‘s mess, we’re heard various chatter about “Suicide Squad 2,” “Gotham City Sirens,” and a standalone movie with Jared Leto‘s Joker and Harley Quinn.

Suicide Squad featured a pretty large ensemble cast that included one of the biggest movie stars ever (Will Smith) and an Oscar-winner (Jared Leto), but everyone left the theaters in love with one actress and her character: Harley Quinn played by Margot Robbie. Margot Robbie has got a lot of DC projects brewing that involve Harley Quinn. We already know that she will be a part of Suicide Squad 2, Joker & Harley, and Gotham City Sirens. The actress has now revealed in an interview with MTV that she has a fourth Harley Quinn project that she's been developing for the past two years, and she clarified that the project is different than any other films mentioned above.
She doesn't offer any other details on the project, so I'm curious to see what she's got cooking for it. I really enjoyed Margot Robbie as Harley in Suicide Squad. She's the perfect actress to play this character and I can't wait to see more of her in these upcoming films!

If “Justice League” and Ben Affleck have you missing the days when Batman truly kicked ass on the big screen (we miss you, Christian Bale), then you better put “Batman Ninja” at the very top of your must-see superhero film list. Coming out of Suicide Squad, there’s wasn’t an awful lot to salvage from David Ayer’s muddled, CG-laden mess other than Harley Quinn, the scenery-chewing femme fatale brought to life by Margot Robbie.
Indeed, it was Robbie’s gleeful performance that resonated with fans – more so than any other member of Task Force X – so it’s small wonder why Warner Bros. has decided to double down on her Harley Quinn for the foreseeable future.
Up first is a direct sequel to Suicide Squad, after Gavin O’Connor (The Accountant) pipped Mel Gibson and Jaume Collet-Serra at the post to land the coveted gig, while we understand the Powers That Be have also drawn up plans for Gotham City Sirens and Joker and Harley Quinn, an embryonic spinoff centering on the fiery, “messed up” love affair brewing between the two DC icons.

Margot Robbie says that there's still another Harley Quinn solo film still in the works...
Right then, let's try and keep up with all of the different Harley Quinn projects first. Ready? Suicide Squad 2 is happening, which is fine because Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn was great. But it won't be directed by David Ayer, because he has moved on to Gotham City Sirens, which will also feature Margot Robbie as Harley. But then there's also an untitled Joker and Harley Quinn movie (not to be confused with the solo Joker origins movie), which will, you guessed it, star Margot Robbie.
Now, in a new interview with MTV, Robbie says that there is yet another Harley Quinn movie in the works. The only clue to this is that she says she has been working on it for two years. So what could this be?

Whether you liked Suicide Squad or not, the fact of the matter is that it raked in a lot of dough at the box office and was a merchandising monster – and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn played a huge part in that. Really, her tremendous embodiment of the character just happened to coincide with the Clown Princess of Crime’s popularity being on an upswing, thus we saw her become the most cosplayed character of 2016.
Naturally, Warner Bros. are likely keen on having Robbie reprise her role as soon as possible. And most fortunate for those of us who enjoyed her portrayal, Variety reports that’ll happen as soon as next year. Furthermore, the actress went on to say that she’s having such a blast because Harley is so different from her:

It seemed like a lot of fans were surprised to learn that after Jared Leto had been cast as The Joker in Suicide Squad, he was hardly in the film. We know that a lot of footage was shot of the character, but ultimately most of it ended up not being used. Like many of you, I assumed The Joker was going to have a much bigger part of the story. Instead, Cara Delevinge's Enchantress ended up being the main villain. Some fans didn't really care for her as the villain, while others seemed to embrace it. I actually kinda liked Enchantress. I liked her more that Leto's portrayal of The Joker. I know not everyone will agree with me on that. That's just my opinion.

There’s something quite refreshing about a filmmaker being very open and honest about the work they deliver – and also something very unusual. In this age of giant studio tentpole projects and high powered marketing machines, it’s most often the case that those involved with a film will predictably either sing its praises, or say nothing at all. To hear the writer-director of what was once one of the most highly anticipated movies of the DC Extended Universe express regret about his own story in conversation with a fan is nothing short of stunning – but that’s what we have with David Ayer, and his 2016 movie Suicide Squad.
While interacting with a fan on Twitter, David Ayer conceded that he regrets not making The Joker – played by Jared Leto – the main villain of the piece.

There’s a great debate raging on right now over the almost legendary Zack Snyder cut of Justice League. For every report that surfaces saying it exists and is fully complete, there’s two more that point to it not being a real thing and simply just wishful thinking on the part of fans. Truth is, we won’t know for sure what exactly Warner Bros. has locked away in their vault until they’re ready to make an announcement, but in the meantime, we’re at least starting to get a better idea of which director (Snyder or Joss Whedon) shot which scenes.
Earlier this week, we were told that the opening Batman sequence was Whedon’s work, and now, it’s become apparent that Snyder was in charge of Deathstroke’s big screen debut. We know this because a new behind the scenes photo has surfaced which shows...

For the longest time, Deathstroke was a rather obscure DC character. But, thanks in large part to Arrow, the world’s deadliest mercenary permeated the mainstream, with appearances in video games such as Batman: Arkham Origins and animated films like Son of Batman also doing wonders to help his cause.
Much to our delight, Slade Wilson’s future is looking brighter than ever now, as the character recently appeared in a post-credits scene for Justice League, in addition to Warner Bros. kicking around the idea for a solo film. We still don’t know much about what the studio has planned for the fan favorite antihero, but a few weeks ago, director Gareth Evans, who’s helming the spinoff, took to Instagram to share his copy of Gods of War, Tony S. Warner Bros. is developing a Harley Quinn animated series for its upcoming DC Entertainment-themed streaming service. Harley's star continues to rise as a character, and Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn was a major factor in the success of the Suicide Squad movie. Deadline reports that Warner Bros. wants to see if they can convince her to voice Harley in animated form, as well.
The good news is that Harley Quinn is, of course, perfect for animation. If you're a fan of Harley Quinn, I've got some awesome news to share with you! DC Entertainment has announced that they will be developing an adult-oriented action-comedy series based on the character!
According to THR, the series is being developed by the team that developed the fantastically fun DC series Powerless that ended up being canceled. That creative team consists of Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey.
The first season will consist of 26 half-hour episodes and Margot Robbie will be asked to voice the character in the series. As of right now, we don't know if she'll end up doing it or not, but it'd be cool if she did. Thanks to the report, we also have the following details on what the series will entail:
The animated series will also feature Poison Ivy and a cast of heroes and villains — old and new — from the DC universe.

Though it may be incubating in the formative stages of development, Gareth Evans’ Deathstroke spinoff has already generated a ton of buzz online.
Having entered talks alongside Joe Manganiello (The Batman?) late last month, it seems The Raid filmmaker has officially begun his research on Slade Wilson, the masked vigilante who’s haunted Gotham since as far back as 1980. Three weeks ago, Evans took to Instagram to share his copy of Gods of War, Tony S. Daniel and Sandu Florea’s Deathstroke comic series that spanned from 2014 to 2016.
It’s a story fuelled by revenge (surprise!), as Slade Wilson journeys across the four corners of Gotham to locate his father Odysseus. Along the way, Deathstroke encounters a number of high-profile DC characters, including Harley Quinn, Amanda Waller, and the billionaire-by-day, vigilante-by-night known as Batman. Could this be a sure-fire sign that the Caped Crusader will swoop down to appear in Evans’ spinoff?...

Margot Robbie goes full-on crazy in this new entertaining red-band trailer for her Tanya Harding biopic I, Tanya. This character almost seems more insane and unstable than Robbie's version of Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad! The film was inspired by the true story of Tanya Harding's ungraceful rise to the Olympics and fall. As you'll see, it's told in the style of a dark comedy and it looks like a really great movie!
Based on the unbelievable but true events, I, Tonya is a darkly comedic tale of American figure skater, Tonya Harding, and one of the most sensational scandals in sports history. Though Harding was the first American woman to complete a triple axel in competition, her legacy was forever defined by her association with an infamous, ill-conceived, and even more poorly executed attack on fellow Olympic competitor Nancy Kerrigan.Featuring an iconic turn by Margot Robbie as the fiery Harding,...

I know that right now everyone is excited about seeing Batman teaming up with Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg in Justice League. But, you know what might be even more exciting!? Watching Batman team up with Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo of Mystery Inc.
There's a new animated movie being released from Warner Bros. Animation called Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold and it wouldn't be the first time that Batman has crossed paths with Scooby-Doo. But in this latest adventure, there will be several other DC characters involved such as Martian Manhunter, Black Canary, Aquaman, Plastic Man, the Joker, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, Scarecrow, and Poison Ivy.
As far as the main villain is concerned it looks like there's a flying red ghost creature involved. Of course, in classic Scooby-Doo fashion, the red ghost will end up being someone that the team encounters while trying to...

When Batman: The Brave and the Bold debuted on Cartoon Network back in 2008, many fans were understandably hesitant when it came to seeing a lighter take on the Caped Crusader than had been witnessed in animation for some time. But lo and behold, said animated series found much success throughout the course of its three seasons by retaining the tongue-in-cheek nature of the TV show starring Adam West and utilizing the vastness of the DC Universe in a way similar to Justice League Unlimited. Really, it’s no wonder why some felt it rivaled Batman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond in terms of quality.
Since its cancellation in 2011, none of us thought we’d ever be seeing the Hammers of Justice again, especially since no direct-to-video movie swiftly followed the series finale. Now, six years later, the folks at Warner Bros. Animation have decided to dust off the franchise...

Actress Giselle Eisenberg is ready for Halloween! Like many young women this year, the 10-year-old star is channeling Suicide Squad’s Harley Quinn for the holiday, and there is a very special reason behind her costume choice.
Margot Robbie, who plays the bold super-villain in DC Comics thriller, was Eisenberg’s first on-screen movie mom in the award-winning film Wolf on Wall Street, in which the young actress made her big-screen debut as Robbie’s and Leonardo DiCaprio’s daughter at just 5-years-old. DC adds another film, with Gareth Evans set to direct a Deathstroke movie...
DC's most formidable assassin is getting the big screen treatment. Slade Wilson, the super assassin who has menaced the Teen Titans on both the comic page and the TV screen, and who has become beloved as the best villain ever to grace the DC TV Universe on Arrow, is getting his own movie. According to THR, Gareth Evans, who knows how to do crazy action thanks to his work on The Raid films, will write and direct Deathstroke for Warner Bros.
Joe Manganiello will star as Slade 'Deathstroke' Wilson. Manganiello was first announced for the role as part of Ben Affleck's solo The Batman movie, but that was several drafts ago, so it's anybody's guess whether Deathstroke is still part of the plan for that movie. Nevertheless, it was Affleck who revealed the...

From Haley Bennett to Game of Thrones mainstay Lena Headey, Warner’s Gotham City Sirens spinoff movie has purportedly piqued the curiosity of countless big-name actresses. And we’re now learning that Eiza González is the latest star to be thrown into the mix.
Best known for her scene-stealing performance as Darling in Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver, González has been tipped to play Catwoman for Warner Bros. and David Ayer, after a handful of DC fans noticed that the director is now following González on Twitter. Hardly what one would call a sure-fire confirmation, but it’s also worth mentioning that DC Films head Geoff Johns also follows the actress via social media.
Adding fuel to the fire, Eiza González recently shared photos of her dressed in black catsuits – photos that came bearing the caption, “the uniform lately,” so take from that what you will. Another thing worth mentioning...

The Batman vs. Two-Face animated movie nearly invited Poison Ivy to the special guest batvillain party.
Warner Bros. has been fulfilling longtime Batman fan dreams for the last year. After first reuniting Adam West, Burt Ward, and Julie Newmar for Batman: Return Of The Caped Crusaders, they immediately revealed the news that they'd be bringing one of the greatest Batman villains to never appear on the original TV series to the screen, with this year's Batman vs. Two-Face. Not only that, they got the legendary William Shatner to voice the dual role of Harvey Dent and Two-Face.
There are a handful of iconic Batman villains of the era who never joined the ranks of Joker, Riddler, Catwoman, Penguin, or Mr. Freeze on TV. Scarecrow, Two-Face, and Poison Ivy were all around during the era of the Batman TV series, but never made the jump to live action as "special guest batvillains.

So far, Batman: White Knight has captured the attention of readers everywhere, and understandably so (you can check out our review of the first issue here). Not only does it reexamine the effect that the Caped Crusader has on Gotham City as a whole, but it also sees the Joker seemingly cured of his insanity and running for public office. Really, you never know when the next Dark Knight Returns or Long Halloween might come around – but this may very well be it.
As writer/artist Sean Gordon Murphy continues to explore whatever storytelling possibilities that a cured Joker might yield, it’ll obviously provide us with many talking points. Heck, we won’t soon forget how many heads turned when Warner Bros. gave him the green light to use the name of Jack Napier, which you may remember was previously likened to Jack Nicholson’s version of the...

If the past week is any indication, Brett Ratner’s long-in-development Hugh Hefner biopic could be well worth the wait.
With film fans still reeling from the news that Jared Leto (Blade Runner 2049) has come on board to headline the feature, we’re now learning that a Suicide Squad reunion could be on the cards, as one source close to The Mirror has tipped Margot Robbie to play one of Hefner’s three wives: Mildred Williams, Kimberley Conrad, or Crystal Harris.
Hugh Hefner was supposedly a big fan of the Aussie actress prior to his recent death, having extended an invitation for her to appear in Playboy Magazine circa 2014. Robbie politely declined the offer, but it’s understood the Hollywood star has now entered talks to co-star in Ratner’s biopic, one that will seemingly chronicle the rise and rise of Hugh Hefner, from shrewd businessman to renown entrepreneur.

Conventional wisdom holds that longer games make for better games. While that may have been true at a time when the only option for buying single games was to spend upwards of $50, the age of discount indie titles and regular Steam sales has not only rendered it obsolete but revealed how the demand for longevity has bred an array of strategies for wasting the audience’s time. These days, I’ll much more readily enjoy a game, especially a story-based one, that quickly gets to the point and then lets me move on, rather than one that pads itself out with empty space and nameless collectibles. Perhaps for this reason, Batman: The Enemy Within – Episode 2: The Pact feels like a significant improvement over the first episode, despite lasting less than two hours.

One reason why the character of Batman has endured for 78 years is that he’s so malleable. Sure, there are intrinsic qualities that unite various interpretations such as his superior intellect, martial arts skills and care for his fellow man, but that doesn’t mean there haven’t been portrayals on opposite ends of the spectrum. For example, both Adam West and Ben Affleck have brought something very different to the table, but neither man’s efforts were no less valid than the other – and the same sentiment can be extended to comics and animation.
Having said that, the time has come to embrace what the near future will bring. As it turns out, the Caped Crusader will once again venture to the Japanese anime arena, this time with Batman Ninja.
