Yes, I fully admit this looks terrible, but thankfully you don't have to waste any time or money on this if you don't want to - all trailers are free to watch! Deadly Detention, originally known as The Detained before the title change, is a new horror thriller about five "archetypal teens" (eye roll already) serving detention who "find themselves in a life or death situation." The main cast includes Henry Zaga, Alex Frnka, Sarah Davenport, Coy Stewart, Jennifer Robyn Jacobs, Kevin Blake, and Gillian Vigman. At least they admit in the description that the characters are archetypal, because everything about this looks cheesy and awful and not worth watching. We have another busy week of Blu-ray and DVD releases to look forward to, with 20 different titles coming home on Tuesday. For those who may have missed it in theaters, Gore Verbinski’s wildly surreal tale of psychological horror, A Cure For Wellness, is coming out on both Blu-ray and DVD courtesy of 20th Century Fox. We also have several indie horror films arriving on June 6th, including The Axe Murders of the Villisca, Aaron’s Blood, Prisoner X, Let Me Make You A Martyr, and Manhattan Undying.

Fahrenheit 451, based on the classic Ray Bradbury story, is being resurrected on DVD in time for its 50th anniversary this week, and for those of you Riverdale fans out there, you might want to check out Mill Creek Entertainment's re-release (this time with digital) of Archie’s Weird Mysteries: The Complete Series.

A new horror film has been made that is inspired by the horrific true story of a family and their friends who were viciously murdered in 1912 in the Iowa town of Villisca. The film is called The Axe Murders of Villisca, and the murder mystery has never been solved. It's an insane story that would make a great and terrifying horror film. Unfortunately, this movie takes place in the modern da,y and it centers around some friends who are into ghost hunting. I would have much rather seen an authentic period film that tells the actual story because that would be a lot more interesting. I'll still watch this, though, because I've been familiar with this story for years, and I've gotta see how the movie turns out, for better or for worse.

In May, Pemberly Digital founder Bernie Su and digital strategist David Tochterman announced Canvas Media Studios, a new venture devoted to branded content. Just a few days later, Su took the stage during StyleHaul’s Newfronts presentation to announce Canvas’ first project: Vanity, a web series branded by Maybelline. A month later, the first episode of Vanity has arrived on StyleHaul’s YouTube channel.

In Vanity, Alex Frnka stars as a college student who attempts to learn more about a famous designer (Denise Richards) by talking to her assistant (Karrueche Tran). Much of the series is told through flashbacks, and there’s plenty of drama to appeal to StyleHaul’s young, predominantly female audience. Of course, more than anything else, the women of Vanity are very well-dressed. We wouldn’t expect anything else from a fashion and beauty-oriented network.

The biggest headline from StyleHaul’s presentation at the 2015 Newfronts concerned its partnership with Amazon, where several of its fashion, beauty, and style experts are offering product recommendations. Recently, ABC released the new,official synopsis/spoilers for their upcoming "Castle" episode 10 of season 7. The episode is entitled, "Bad Santa," and it turns out that we're going to see Castle and Beckett deal with a new case that involves the Mafia when one of their doctors gets shot dead in the street, and more! Veteran talent representative Holly Shelton has started her own company, Holly Shelton Management. Among those following her are Michael Bowen (Breaking Bad), Patty Duke, Alex Frnka, (The Inbetweeners), Aaron Hill (Twisted), Jazz Raycole (Soul Man), Lisa Locicero (General Hospital), Peter Mackenzie (Hart Of Dixie) and Graham Shiels (Arrow). The yet to be entitled 'Transformers 4' sequel has gained two new young cast members to join the franchises complete diversion. 'Bates Motel' star Nicola Peltz (below) and Aussie actor Brenton Thwaites ('Maleficent') have signed up for the Michael Bay helmed sequel which is due for theatrical release on 27 June 2014. Yep, that's right its still quite a wait yet but the new duo will join Mark Wahlberg ('Ted') with Peltz set to play Wahlberg's on-screen daughter and Thwaites to play her boyfriend. Peltz managed to secure the role ahead of other screen beauties such as Alex Frnka ('Th Inbetweeners') and gorgeous Brit beauty Gabriella Wilde ('Carrie')....

The four high schoolers on The Inbetweeners are trying to find their way and get noticed -- not unlike MTV is attempting to do with their new TV show. Will The Inbetweeners find big ratings and get renewed for a second season? We shall see.

On Monday, MTV aired the first season finale of The Inbetweeners. The show hasn't been cancelled or renewed for a second season yet? What should they do?

Based on a UK TV series of the same name, The Inbetweeners follows the lives of four misfit teenage boys as they try to navigate and survive in high school. They show stars Alex Frnka, Bubba Lewis, Joey Pollari, Mark L. Young, and Zack Pearlman.

The series debuted back on August 20th to 910,000 viewers with a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Viewership dropped nearly 29% by the second episode, to 650,000 viewers with a 0.3 rating. Through the course of the season, The Inbetweeners' ratings fluctuated a bit -- falling as low as 521,000 -- but essentially stayed at the same level as episode two.

The season ended up averaging a 620,000...

Anyone who has watched MTV’s latest comedy The Inbetweeners – a remake of a British show about high school guys just trying to fit in – knows that Alex Frnka’s Carly D’Amato is the subject of Simon’s (undying) affection. But there’s much more to Carly than what meets the eye.

Alex recently spoke with Ology about tonight’s episode "The Masters," what it’s like being the sole female lead in a male-dominated cast, and what’s in store for Carly this season!

Ology: How do you relate to your character Carly?

Alex Frnka: Well, I think that she’s always trying to be a good person in a tricky atmosphere. High school isn’t easy for everyone, and sometimes you’re faced with having to decide between doing what’s right and what’s cool, and I think that she’s just trying to keep that balance.

"The Inbetweeners" is one of the most beloved British comedies of the past decade, managing to garner enough international appeal to amass a sizeable cult following in the Us during its three-season run. So naturally, when MTV announced it was planning to adapt the series for American audiences, outrage ensued. (Especially after the "Skins" debacle.)

Luckily, the show has retained much of the charm of its predecessor without wholly retreading its steps. Similar to the way Showtime's "Shameless" utilized plots from the UK version before forging its own path, the Us "Inbetweeners" will use certain stories as springboards before heading in an original direction, usually riffing on the most embarrassing elements of the high school experience in a similar way to MTV's other charming teen comedy, "Awkward."

According to reports, actress Alex Frnka ("Unanswered Prayers") has been cast as the female lead in MTV's upcoming half-hour pilot "The Inbetweeners", a remake of the award-winning Brit TV series.

Premise of the original series follows four male high school students, who belong to the 'inbetweeners', ie. teenagers "...who are not the most cool and popular but not geeky enough to be branded uncool..."

Frnka will play a high-school teen for director Taika Waititi, starting January 10, 2011 in Orlando, Florida from a script by Brad Copeland.

Copeland will executive produce with Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, creators of the original series, and Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment.
