A highly energetic and passionate film producer, Sunitha has had over 20 years of valuable media experience across Films (Suresh Productions of Ramanaidu Studios, Indian television (TV9), Radio (RadioMirchi of the Times Of India Group) and film (Mirchi Movies of the Times Of India Group).
With a production house of her own, called Guru Films Private Limited, she produced multiple South Indian blockbuster films, including Oh Baby! (2019), Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo (2016), Accham Yenbadhu Madhamaida (2016), Courier Boy Kalyan (2015), Bangaru Kodi Petta (2014), as well as critically-acclaimed feature films in the Hindi language including Shor In The City (2011).
A business graduate with a post graduate degree in Film Making from New York University, she started her career in movies with path-breaking films like Hyderabad Blues (1998) by Nagesh Kukunoor and Dollar Dreams (2000) by Sekhar Kammula.
Sunitha worked as an Executive Producer for Dollar Dreams, which won the National Award in 1998. She returned to India to understand the booming Regional markets in Indian Cinema.
In Hyderabad, she joined one of the most prestigious production houses, Ramanaidu Studios under successful Producer Suresh Babu as his Chief Assistant. During her term of four years, she worked across 8 films in Telugu and Hindi, in various positions. She excelled in various skill sets to take story lines from the Development stage to getting the script written with veteran writers to the liking of the Studio and planning the production phase, from Casting, Budgeting, Scheduling and the entire Production all the way to the first copy of the film.
