DC Universe’s next live-action TV series is coming to the streaming service this Friday in the form of Doom Patrol. As you surely know, it follows a bunch of disparate superhumans – most of whom we previously met on Titans – who see their powers as curses more than gifts. And now, this new 4-minute trailer gives us a great taste of the gleefully weird, kooky tone of the show and its eclectic cast of characters.
So, who are the Doom Patrol? Well, first we have Clifford Steele/Robotman – as voiced by Brendan Fraser and played in the flesh by Jake Michaels – a former race car driver rebuilt in a mechanical body after an accident. April Bowlby, meanwhile, is Rita Farr/Elasti-Woman, a former 50s movie star whose skin turned elastic after she was infected with toxic gas. Then you have Matt Bomer, who voices – while Matthew Zuk performs – Larry Trainor/Negative Man,...

One of the brand new shows coming to the DC Universe streaming service over late 2018 and 2019 is Doom Patrol. A spinoff of Titans, as the team will debut on that series first, the show will follow a band of misfit metahumans who become an unlikely superhero fighting force. With other projects in the works including Swamp Thing, Doom Patrol is by far the most obscure property that DC Universe is bringing to wider audiences, but it seems they’re hoping to turn these lesser-known characters into new fan favorites.
That Hashtag Show has reported that Doom Patrol is now casting for Crazy Jane, a member of the team. The site has got hold of some info on the role, too, and has revealed that Jane will be “somewhere in her 20s” and will possess “several personalities.” The most intriguing detail is that Ths claims she’ll be portrayed as “a...

When DC’s new streaming service, titled DC Universe, debuts later this year, its flagship show will be Titans, the first live-action adaptation of the teenage superhero team including Robin, Starfire and Beast Boy. In fact, the studio seems so confident in the series that they’ve already begun work on a spinoff in the form of Doom Patrol, an alternate team of misfit heroes who’ll first debut on Titans before getting their own vehicle.
Though this suggests a close relationship between the two projects, perhaps setting up an alternate DC TV shared universe to The CW’s Arrowverse, it seems some of the cast will differ. In particular, That Hashtag Show has revealed that Doom Patrol will feature a different actor in the role of Dr. Niles Caulder Aka the Chief, the gang’s somewhat Professor X-like mentor.
On Titans, Bruno Bichir will guest star as the character.

Titans, the live-action series set to land on Warner Bros.’ new streaming service DC Universe, won’t just be introducing us to the Teen Titans. That’s because it’ll also open the door to a much wider version of the comic book universe, with appearances from Doom Patrol – who’ll get their own spinoff show – and Hawk and Dove confirmed.
There’ve also been many reports that claim Batman is on his way, as well. This makes a lot of sense, too, seeing as Brenton Thwaites’ Dick Grayson will be the protagonist of the show. It’s thought that Bruce Wayne will at least appear via flashbacks which reveal how the billionaire adopted Grayson and trained him up as his sidekick Robin. A new set photo, though, suggests that the Dark Knight, complete with cape and cowl, could also appear.

DC’s Titans live-action TV series, which is headed to the company’s new streaming service DC Universe later this year, hasn’t even arrived yet, but it’s already got a spinoff. Following the team’s debut on the aforementioned show, Doom Patrol – based on another superhero group from the pages of DC comics – has been announced to be in the works.
The joint venture between Warner Bros. Digital Networks and DC Entertainment is apparently so impressive that it’s been ordered straight to series, with a 13-episode first season made up of hour-long installments in development. King of DC TV, Greg Berlanti will produce, with Supernatural‘s Jeremy Carver on board as head writer.
It’s been confirmed that Doom Patrol’s roster in their own series will consist of Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Girl and Crazy Jane. They’ll be led by mad scientist Dr. Niles Caulder, known...

Another member of the Doom Patrol has arrived, as DC’s upcoming Titans TV series has cast Jake Michaels as Robotman. While excitement was already high for a live-action TV show, based upon the Teen Titans comics, a lot of recent press has surrounded another superhero team coming to TV. Geoff Johns confirmed Doom Patrol will join Titans recently, with the team lending their name to the fifth episode of the debut season. From there on, it’s possible the misfits heroes could return, but if nothing else, their first appearance looks to feature a number of classic characters.

Years after having her newborn child stolen from her, Sam searches a world infested with infected users from the Social Redroom website. After befriending a young girl named Bean, Sam is captured and locked in a facility dedicated to finding a cure for the Redroom virus. Trapped and tortured, Sam tries to escape the facility before an impending update on the Redroom site hits 100% and unleashed its final phase of attack…
Despite the open(ish) ending of the first Antisocial, when this sequel was announced I did wonder in just what direction Chad Archibald, Cody Calahan and the Black Fawn Films crew would take the film. After all, the original film was a one location, claustrophic horror flick that – I thought – had a finite story.
