Hunter X Hunter has been on a roll recently with a lot of exciting events, such as the return of the series, a new game, and more, but the creator just dropped a bombshell piece of news regarding the future of the series. It is safe to say the series is truly back in full swing as the chances of a proper ending have never looked brighter than now.
In a tweet posted by series creator Yoshihiro Togashi to his personal X account, it was confirmed that he is working on the plot and details of the next 50 chapters and that they will be published in the future. Furthermore, he also confirmed that he would get back to working on the drawing of other chapters and would start the inking process. This is huge news as it confirms how many chapters are in the works and that they will be published.

Hunter x Hunter's new fighting game, Nen x Impact has been banned in Australia due to suggestions of sexual violence against minors according to a recent report. Though Hunter x Hunter is a believed series among anime fans, one of the series' main antagonists, Hisoka, remains a controversial aspect. It seems that controversy has now boiled over, with Hisoka's disquieting antics meaning that Bushiroad and Eighting's Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact won't receive classification in Australia, effectively banning the game.
In a report by Automaton Media, the Australian Classification board specifically said that it wouldn't classify the new game with its rating system due to "sexual violence against characters under the age of 18 by an adult male character." While the board doesn't clarify, anyone familiar with the series will know that the likely culprit is Hisoka. While this is obviously disappointing for Australian fans of Hunter x Hunter...

Sad anime series tell some of the stories that stick with fans the longest, as few emotions are felt as intensely as sadness. It is easy to laugh at a brief joke or feel joy over a character's achievements and victories, but such feelings are often short-lived. On the other hand, bringing viewers to tears requires a genuine connection to be formed, as the characters need to feel real and relatable.
There are plenty of series that make their viewers cry on occasion. Especially when it comes to longer-running ones, certain moments are bound to be especially sad, such as One Piece's Going Merry's tragic ending. However, few shows go out of their way to attempt to build up a real connection with viewers, focusing on their emotions above all and leading to some of the greatest sad anime series.

Halloween is coming up and now is the time to find inspiration for a costume and finalize online orders. Thanks to anime's ever-growing popularity, many retailers stock pre-fabricated Naruto and Demon Slayer costumes that are as easy as click-and-collect. Some people will get creative and make a low-effort costume or go all-out like Heidi Klum and invest in an over-the-top outfit. Luckily, anime provides endless references to draw from, especially for couple and group costumes, theme parties, or just showing off pop-culture literacy.
The easiest anime references are the iconic school uniforms, which are not only required attire at Japanese schools but are a symbol of youth and one's formative years. Sailor Moon, Dan Da Dan, and Neon Genesis Evangelion all feature fairly basic uniforms that can be made with plaid skirts, white button-downs, and a tie or bow. Netflix announces the addition of Hunter X Hunter's two feature-length films, Phantom Rouge and The Last Mission, to its streaming platform on November 1, 2024. The 2011 anime adaptation of Hunter X Hunter is massively popular and has left its audience clamoring for more content since it ended in 2014. Animator Henry Thurlow who is popular for his work on One Piece, Boruto and other anime, recently put out a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) shedding light on what possibly could have gone wrong with the Uzumaki adaptation.
The anime has gone through an alarming downward spiral when it came to its animation quality, leaving everyone quite disheartened.
While Thurlow admitted that he was not fully aware of what happened behind the scenes of Uzumaki’s production, he lashed out at western producers for probably having ruined the show.
He pointed out that some producer from the anime, in a bid to just get done with production and release it, might have involved some subpar studio to work on the it.

The best enemies-to-lovers anime excel at portraying one of the most beloved tropes among audiences. Not all couples begin with love at first sight any of them feel nothing but anger toward their future partner at first, until becoming closer makes them both realize that theyre more than what they appear.
Enemies-to-lovers stories, more than anything, adore love that's based on intense and passionate feelings and, eventually, fully cemented by deep trust and understanding. In some cases, the couples overcome years of bad blood to be with one another. Sometimes, no one knows you more intimately than your closest enemy.

The movie is a collaboration between Hanada, 100Studio, and Hurray!, and features stunning 3D animation and a unique story about young talent in both animation and music.
Screenwriter Jukki Hanada is collaborating with a few anime studios to create A Few Moments of Cheers, a new music-themed anime movie. The movie is currently expected to premiere in Japan later this summer. While Hanada has been behind some notable music-themed shows, his new project breaks ground with a story focused on amateur music video production.
Music and entertainment-themed anime are more than familiar, and the common notion is that they involve high school bands or idol groups. Hanada himself has penned a few scripts with such a cast.

It’s a Herculean effort to take a multi-volume manga like author Akihito Tsukushi’s “Made in Abyss,” adapt it into a popular anime television series, and then compress the show into a coherent feature, but the folks at Sentai Filmworks have done just that. Part one, “Made in Abyss: Journey’s Dawn,” will screen around the U.S. in its original Japanese on March 20 and in an English dub on March 25, to be followed at a later date by “Wandering Twilight,” which opened in Japan in January.

Netflix is going all in on anime as they add the eagerly anticipated Godzilla movie and 12 other projects to their slate of upcoming programming. Deadline says in addition to the series the network is also overseeing the development of Cannon Busters, Devilman Crybaby, B: The Beginning, and Knights Of The Zodiac: Saint Seiya just to name a few.
The Godzilla and Saint Seiya grabs really show that Netflix is working to grab their Western audience who loves anime, but with competitors like Crunchyroll and Funimation (who was recently bought by Sony) in the mix, who knows if they'll be able to compete on that front. Time will tell, but the addition of so many projects seems promising for the future of anime on the platform.
