Nicole Kidman’s new erotic thriller “Babygirl” not only features holiday scenes, but A24 is releasing the movie on Dec. 25. So does this make the R-rated film a Christmas movie?
“Let’s hope so,” Kidman, who plays a tech company CEO having a kink-filled affair with an intern (Harris Dickinson), told me with a laugh at the film’s premiere Wednesday in Los Angeles. “Somebody thinks it is… A24 is very subversive. They seem to go against the grain always, so maybe [Christmas] is the right time.”
Dickinson weighed in, “It’s absolutely a Christmas movie. I didn’t know it was going to be, but it turned out to be so I’m going with it.”
Halina Reijn, who wrote and directed the movie, said “definitely, as far as I’m concerned.”

One of Jesse Eisenberg‘s most memorable leading ladies gave him a run for his money before even landing the role.
After 15 years, the Zombieland actor recalled how co-star Emma Stone wowed the casting director and left him feeling “so, so small” during her audition for the 2009 Ruben Fleischer-directed post-apocalyptic comedy.
“I was already cast in the movie, so I was auditioning like many people for her part that day,” he recounted on SiriusXM’s The Spotlight with Jessica Shaw. “The actors at that point were all amazing actresses, but they were all, like, trying to get into the movie, and so they were being really polite and everything.
“And then [Stone] came in, and she just started making fun of me in the scene, like just assaulting me with insults in the scene and it was so funny. They were so quick and so funny and cutting,” added Eisenberg.

Showrunner Anna Fishko confirms multiple seasons are planned for Orphan Black: Echoes. The new season could go in different directions, says Fishko. Future seasons have the opportunity to build on the strength of the first installment.
Orphan Black: Echoes showrunner Anna Fishko offers an optimistic response about the future of the AMC show. Consisting of ten episodes, the Orphan Black spinoff stars Breaking Bad and Jessica Jones actor Krysten Ritter as Lucy, a woman who wakes up with no memory of who she is. As the series progresses, more is revealed about a cloning conspiracy that carries strong connections with the original series. With a supporting cast that includes Keeley Hawes, Amanda Fix, and Avan Jogia, the first installment leaves plenty of room for further exploration.
In an interview with Collider, following the Orphan Black: Echoes season 1 finale, Fishko was asked about whether the spinoff could return for more seasons.

Idris Elba's distinctive voice and commanding presence make him a perfect match for the battle-hardened dragon Tairn.
A TV adaptation of the fantasy book Fourth Wing is currently in progress, raising questions about who will be cast to star as the book's many fascinating characters. Author Rebecca Yarros has announced the Empyrean series will span five books, with two currently available. In collaboration with Michael B. As usual, Krysten Ritter delivers another intense, action-packed series that balances human experience with that special spark that defines what makes life worth living in Orphan Black: Echoes Season 1 Episode 1.
The first episode of the series opens the world up to the audience in the same way it does Ritter's character, Lucy.
We're brought in slow and softly to help ease the information given to us, and like Lucy, audiences could feel the tension build as questions quickly piled up about what is going on, putting viewers practically in the Pov.
Ritter has come a long way since her days starring in goofy, comedic shows like Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23.
She has successfully transitioned into stronger roles like Jessica Jones and now as Lucy, a woman with no knowledge of who she is or where she comes from.
Most sci-fi shows use the same tropes that...

Orphan Black: Echoes features a new cast of characters in the same universe as the original series, set in 2052. The mystery-driven plot follows Lucy and Dr. Kira Manning, offering a fresh take reminiscent of the original series. Notable actors like Krysten Ritter and Keeley Hawes bring depth to their characters in the sci-fi-infused storyline.
The sequel to a hit sci-fi TV series, Orphan Black: Echoes features a unique cast of characters though long-time Orphan Black fans will recognize a few names and faces. Created by Anna Fishko, the sequel is set in 2052 and shares the original series' universe. Instead of centering on Emmy-winning actor Tatiana Maslany's array of clone sisters, Echoes follows the stories of Lucy (Krysten Ritter), a young woman with amnesia, and Dr. Kira Manning (Keeley Hawes). Notably, Kira is the now-adult daughter of Maslany's Sarah Manning, the only Leda clone to have a child.

Plot: Set in the near future, Orphan Black: Echoes takes a deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence. Ritter plays Lucy, a woman with an unimaginable origin story, trying to find her place in the world.
Review: It has been seven years since the original Orphan Black concluded its five-season run. The series, which turned Tatiana Maslany into a star, was an innovative blend of thriller and genre storytelling that gave Maslany a showcase to create multiple characters who each had a distinct personality. Matt Bennett's role as Robbie Shapiro in Victorious showcased unique talent and contributed to the diversity of Hollywood Arts students. Bennett continues to act post-Victorious and has appeared in various TV shows and music videos alongside co-star Ariana Grande. In addition to acting, Bennett has transitioned to DJing, highlighting his multi-talented and artistic abilities outside of his acting career.
Nickelodeon's Victorious co-starred Matt Bennett as Robbie Shapiro, one of the students at the elite performing arts school of the series and since his appearance on the show, Bennett has gone to a fascinating career. Victorious is a 2010s show from the tail-end of Nickelodeon's era of producing live-action sitcoms at a significant rate. As such, it maybe doesn't inspire quite the same love and reverence as earlier shows like iCarly, Drake & Josh, and Keenan and Kel. However, it was still a successful program, with a unique setting and talented actors.

Orphan Black was a jolt of sci-fi adrenaline when it debuted on BBC America in 2013, powered by a spectacular performance from Tatiana Maslany as a bevy of identical clones. (Maslany won an Emmy in 2016 over the likes of Claire Danes and Viola Davis — and she damn well deserved it, too.) But if you took away Maslany and the whole #CloneClub concept, what would you have left? The answer might be Orphan Black: Echoes (premiering Sunday, June 23 at 10/9c on AMC and BBC America; I’ve seen the first five episodes), a disappointingly mediocre follow-up that lacks the unique spark of...

Welcome back, Clone Club! It's been a little while since our last meeting, but it's once again our time to shine. Every "Orphan Black" fan remembers falling down that sci-fi rabbit hole back throughout the mid-2010s, gawking at the television screen as the series somehow found deeper and more labyrinthine plots to follow with every passing season. As complicated and slightly off the rails as the story could get, those of us who found ourselves on its wavelength ended up among the most passionate members of the fandom. You could commonly find us wandering the street corners and flagging down random passersby, eager to preach about the Good News of Tatiana Maslany and her frankly incredible performance(s) as various clones who couldn't possibly be more different from one another.
Now, perhaps a whole new generation of fans is about to spring up with the release of the spin-off/sequel series,...
