Saturday Night filmmaker Jason Reitman received quite a critical review for his film from one of the original SNL castmembers.

During a recent episode of the Fly on the Wall podcast, the director revealed Chevy Chase’s reaction to the movie, prefacing, “Chevy loves to say the thing you’re not supposed to say.” The film follows the chaotic 90 minutes leading up to the first broadcast of SNL in 1975.

“So, Chevy comes in to watch the movie, and he is there with [wife] Jayni and they watch the film, and he’s in the group, and he comes up to me after and he pats me on the shoulder and goes, ‘Well, you should be embarrassed,’” Reitman recalled to hosts David Spade and Dana Carvey.

Hope for the Future is canceled. Of course, this isn’t the first time the collection has been pulled from Forrester Creations. The couture line has been through its share of ups and downs over the years on The Bold and the Beautiful.

What hasn’t helped is Hope’s identity to the brand. She lost her sense of self after her divorce from Liam. Hope jumped from man to man instead of focusing on herself like she said she would. Now, she doesn’t get the opportunity to reinvent herself.

Hope for the Future was a couture collection gifted to Hope (Kim Matula) by her aunt Katie (Heather Tom). At the time, Forrester Creations was a subsidiary of Forrester Creations. Hope didn’t have experience in business acumen, fashion design, or modeling. But that didn’t stop her from getting her visions out there.

The Bold and the Beautiful sees Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) deal with a setback because Hope for the Future (Hftf) can’t retain buyers. It seems to be a design fail. Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) told her father, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) the issues. This comes after a loyal repeat buyer did not want the new collection.

The actor and original Saturday Night Live castmember took to X, formerly Twitter, on Friday to share his thoughts on director Jason Reitman’s latest film, which centers on the 90 minutes leading up to the sketch comedy show’s first broadcast in 1975.

“Cracking a Head to applaud Jason Reitman’s triumphant SNL film. Wow!” Aykroyd wrote after watching the movie at his local theater. “What a propulsive, engaging, funny, beautifully cast and acted, suspenseful, adventurous, music-filled ride. A perfect window into the creative process at its highest level. Pretty accurate too.”

Jason Reitman's superb "Saturday Night" features 80 speaking parts, along with dozens of background actors, and a camera that effortlessly weaves through a busy set while capturing the disorderly and anarchic production of the first episode of "Saturday Night Live." That required a lot of meticulous planning, especially when there are long single-take shots that move seamlessly throughout a set that has no edge of frame, which means that everything on that set was designed as if all of it could be seen on camera in any given moment. But even with such careful organization needed to realize this hilarious, frenzied chronicle of showbiz history, Reitman still had moments of last minute inspiration, and one of them resulted in a key scene that serves as a significant moment of realization for showrunner Lorne Michaels (played by "The Fablemans" star Gabriel Labelle).

In 2008, director Jason Reitman lived his “SNL” dream.

He was fresh off the success of “Juno,” which earned Reitman a Best Director Oscar nomination and the film a Best Picture nomination. His agent reached out to Lorne Michaels and relayed Reitman’s wish — to do a guest writing stint on “Saturday Night Live.” And, incredibly, it happened.

Now she’s playing one of the architects of the world’s most famous sketch comedy show in Jason Reitman’s Saturday Night.
