For her final run, Farrington put together a series of solid tricks – twists, flips, switchback 720s, back 900s, an alley-oop 540 and more. At the end of her turn on the pipe, the judges have her a score of 91.75. Australian Torah Bright was awarded a fraction lower of a score, getting 91.50. In third place was former gold medalist, American rider Kelly Clark, who received 90.75 points.

Farrington came into the competition as an underdog, as she was the least accomplished of her foes in her first Olympic appearance. Not only had nine of her competitors medaled in past Olympics, but three had previously taken the gold. It was just three weeks ago that Farrington had managed to qualify for the Games.

Just like Americans, it turned out Australians also love couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens who maintain a low profile when it comes to their romance. The pair, who began dating when they first filmed "High School Musical", was named the Cutest Couple at 2010 Australian Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

Efron and Hudgens fought off strong contender, one of most beloved couples, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Efron and Hudgens also beat out the likes of newly-married couple Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr as well as newly-reconciled pair Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus.

The nominees of 2010 Teen Choice Awards have finally been unraveled, and Miley Cyrus and Zoe Saldana have come out as the leaders of the pack. On Monday, June 14, it was unveiled that both stars have nailed three nominations from the annual awards whose winners are determined by votes from teens aged 14 to 19.

Miley is up for two movie nods and one music. She nails the Choice Movie Actress: Drama nom for "The Last Song" and shares the Choice Movie: Dance nom with co-star and real life boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. She also nabs Choice Music: Female Artist which places her in competition with Ke$ha, Lady GaGa, Shakira, and Taylor Swift.

The 2010 Teen Choice Awards nominees are out and leading the way with six nominations apiece are "Gossip Girl" and "Iron Man 2." "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" and "Glee" are right behind them with five nominations each.

Will "New Moon" sweep the Teen Choice Awards like it did the MTV Movie Awards? We think it might!  "Glee" star Jane Lynch is nominated for TV Villain, which we had never really thought about -- she's too hilarious. Other TV Villains include Terri O'Quinn from "Lost" and Russell Hantz from "Survivor." That is by far the most interesting category.

In the interest in leaving the figure skating coverage to Mandi -- and getting another non-American up in here! -- Day 7's Olympic Stud is Australian snowboarder Torah Bright, who won Australia's first gold in last night's Women's Halfpipe finals. She's so studly because she pulled off the winning run -- including the switch-backside 720, a trick attempted by few men -- after scoring a ridiculous 5.9 in the first heat. Quiksilver is celebrating its 40th anniversary with two days of skateboarding, music, art and fashion at the Grand Palais in Paris on November 20 and 21. The event will culminate with The Quiksilver Tony Hawk Show, followed by a concert.

The event will bring together Quiksilver athletes, including Kelly Slater, Todd Richards, Travis Rice, Danny Garcia, Alex Olson, Jeremy Flores, Mathieu Crepel, Robby Naish, Kassia Meador, Lisa Andersen and Torah Bright.

Aside from the skating part, the celebration will also include exhibition areas for art, music, and cultural events, with graffiti artist Andre transforming giant ramps into unique art. Quiksilver has assembled a 40-year fashion retrospective inside the venue as well.

The second and last day will be concluded with a concert from Dead By Sunrise and a late night with DJ Mix Master Mike.

As expected, the vampire drama was the big winner at the Teen Choice Awards! "Twilight" received 9 wins (well, 9 surfboards awards) including Choice Movie Drama.

The full winners of 2009 Teen Choice Awards in sports and other categories have been unveiled hot on the heels of the outing of some early winners. Soccer stud David Beckham nabs the Choice Male Athlete prize, beating some other nominees, including Kobe Bryant, Roger Federer, Michael Phelps, and Tiger Woods.

On the female side, artistic gymnast Shawn Johnson is named the winner. She beats Nastia Liukin, Danica Patrick, Kerri Walsh, Misty May-Treanor, and Serena Williams, all of whom vie for the predicate of Choice Athlete: Female.

Meanwhile, the award for Choice Action Sports Athlete: Male goes to skateboarder Ryan Sheckler. He wins the title from Paul Rodriguez, Kelly Slater, James Stewart, and Shaun White. As for Choice Action Sports Athlete: Female, the prize goes to Stephanie Gilmore. Her competitors for the category are Gretchen Bleiler, Torah Bright, Lyn-z Adams Hawkins, and Carissa Moore.

The list of nominees for 2009 Teen Choice Awards has been unveiled and it sees the likes of Robert Pattinson and Zac Efron being nominated for Choice Male Hottie prize. Both movie heartthrobs vie for the category with fellow actors that include Chace Crawford, Jonas Brothers, and Taylor Kitsch.

Zac and the Jonas boys, additionally, are nominated for Choice Red Carpet Icon: Male. Their competitors for the gong include "American Idol" season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert, Justin Timberlake, and Kanye West.

As for Choice Female Hottie Teen Choice Award, the nominees are Miley Cyrus, Megan Fox, Vanessa Hudgens, Beyonce Knowles, and Blake Lively. When it comes to sexy female athletes, you’d think the girls of winter sports are at a disadvantage. After all, you can’t exactly ski in a bikini. But what's under those snowpants and puffy jackets is certainly worth checking out in a post-run hot tub.

While at the Dew Tour in Breckenridge a few weeks ago, I interviewed the competitors in the Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle competition – and by interviewed, I mean I asked each one of them the following question:
