Hey, "NCIS" fans. We're back on here to give you guys a new, quick spoiler scoop for CBS' hit crime/drama series NCIS. In this spoiler scoop, we were able to get some new details about who Agent Nick Torres was texting during the last episode 9 aka Fall finale episode. Yeah, Matt Webb over at TVLine.com got to chat up the showrunner for NCIS Steven D. Binder to get this latest piece of intel. During Matt's Inside line scoop session, one of their readers named Deb asked him the question, "Do we know who NCIS‘ Nick (aka “babe”) was texting with in the midseason finale?" Matt responded by telling her that we will actually get to see this person at some point in the future, and it's going to be someone we've actually met in the past. He also added that someone else in the squad room will be...

In case you haven't yet watched, we won't spoil you for the Person of Interest TV series finale, which aired last night on CBS. Since that drama show has drawn to a close, what will star Michael Emerson do next?
Fans of Lost would still love to see Emerson (Ben Linus) work with Terry O'Quinn (John Locke) again. TV Line's Matt Webb Mitovich asked Emerson if the time was right for the two work together on a new project.

To commemorate the five-year anniversary of the Smallville series finale, TVLine is republishing this oral history which was first compiled by Matt Webb Mitovich for the June 2011 issue of CBS’ Watch! Magazine (and has been enhanced for this update).
With those words, spoken by Jonathan Kent in the Smallville pilot, a new take on the superman saga found a home that would last for 10 years.
Developed for TV by Al Gough and Miles Millar, Smallville— which followed the adventures of Clark Kent in the fictional town of Smallville, Kan., before he becomes Superman — made its debut Oct. 16, 2001, on The WB.

The smoke has cleared — literally — and the rubble has been carted away from the blast site, but don’t assume that means that the three-month time jump between Quantico‘s second bombing and its midseason premiere provided much in the way of clarity or peace for Agent Alex Parrish.
“She told Simon to take his hand off the trigger,” star Priyanka Chopra reminds TVLine, referring to the moments following suspected terrorist Elias’ suicidal swan dive from a midtown Manhattan hotel. Alex was sure the threat had been mitigated. She was wrong.

The story of Abbie and Jenny Mills’ deadbeat dad has been canon since Sleepy Hollow‘s first season: Unable to handle his wife’s increasing mental instability, Ezra Mills bailed on his family when the sisters were young.
But what if Papa Mills’ story has gotten as twisted as every other historical tale the Fox drama tells?
“I think the hardcore fans have always wondered about Dad,” showrunner Clifton Campbell tells TVLine. “There was a picture painted of him early on that was the guy who ran off, who couldn’t deal, and who fled. It’s very nice to...

HBO’s The Leftovers is making a sudden arrival in awards season.
Nominations for the 2016 Critics’ Choice Television Awards were announced early Monday and Damon Lindelof’s dark dissertation on loss and grief led the drama field with an impressive six nominations, including best series, lead actor (for Justin Theroux), lead actress (for Carrie Coon), supporting actor (for Christopher Eccleston) and supporting actress (for Ann Dowd and Regina King).
The Leftovers‘ strong showing comes less than a week after HBO renewed the show for a third and final season (and just days after the series’ Golden Globe nomination shutout).

Haven is returning to SyFy later tonight. The series is ending its run at the end of the upcoming episodes. Some viewers might have forgotten the series that stars Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant, and Eric Balfour. SyFy took the series off the network last year.
There is good news to go along with the bad news though. Fans worried that the series will end without closure can stop worrying. In a recent conference call, members of the cast teased that all the loose ends will be tied up before the final credits roll.
TV Line confirmed that when they spoke about the series in one of their spoiler reports earlier this week. Matt Webb Mitovich teased:

ABC’s Galavant wrapped its eight-episode freshman run on Sunday night by installing a new face on the throne, leaving another princess to be saved and sending two frenemies on a slow boat to… where, Mist Haven? Who knows.
Here, TVLine’s two biggest Galavant fans (Galafans?), Editor-at-Large Matt Webb Mitovich and West Coast Reporter Rebecca Iannucci, reflect on the ambitious musical-comedy’s maiden voyage and express reservations about what any possible Season 2 would look like.
We come here to primarily celebrate ABC’s Galavant as a whole, though I admittedly came away from the finale feeling a bit “meh.

The Flash episode 'All-Star Team-Up' gets even more fun! Could this be Justice League foe Queen Bee?
As reported by Matt Webb Metrovitch over at TVLine.com, “Episode 18 [of The Flash] will unleash on Central City a bee-a-utiful tech wizard who rocks oversized shades and red lipstick… and has devised a clever-slash-amoral-slash-wildly unstable scheme to weaponize bee-sized ‘bots.” In prior incarnations in the comics, the Justice League have faced off against a Queen Bee who is clever, amoral, attractive and has large eye coverings, resembling the compound eyes of many flying insects. So the description of the character is very similar. Also in the comics, Queen Bee employed weaponized insectoid robots as one of her means of attacking the League and conquering cities on Earth. This reminds me of Grant Morrison's glory days on Jla. If this is Queen Bee, I'm very excited. Even if it isn't Queen Bee, I have confidence in the producers, writers, cast and crew over at CW's 'The Flash' to make this an outstanding episode,...

TVLine has a lot to be thankful for this season, with a small-screen bounty in 2013 that’s included Person of Interest‘s massively upped ante, New Girl‘s frisky new friend, a well-deserved comeuppance on Mad Men and Nashville‘s love-to-love-her bad girl. And that’s in addition to more than two dozen other TV treats for which we are grateful!

"Rizzoli & Isles" paid tribute to one of its own this week after the tragic death of Lee Thompson Young. The 29-year-old actor, who played Detective Barry Frost on the series, committed suicide earlier in the week. His body was discovered Monday morning.
On Tuesday night, the newest episode of his hit show paid tribute to him by dedicating the episode to him. A title card was put on the screen, displaying the words, "In Loving Memory of Lee Thompson Young 1984-2013." Two short and silent clips of Lee from the show were played, and then the screen faded to black.
The moment came at the end of the episode, which featured Young in his regular role. TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich felt this was a fitting way to deal with the tragedy. What's uncertain still is how the show will deal with his passing within the narrative.

Matt Webb Mitovich is an AwardsLine contributor. He has traveled to the moon, survived Alcatraz, put a few good men on trial and, yes, once almost got arrested for dancing. But in the course of more than 35 years of acting, one of the few things Kevin Bacon never explored was a TV role in a regular series—until Fox’s The Following invited him to hunt down a clever killer. Now, his turn as troubled FBI consultant Ryan Hardy could cop him his first Emmy nomination since the HBO miniseries Taking Chance. AwardsLine: What exactly was it that led you to your first series regular TV role? Bacon: You have to keep in mind that it was a different world when I started out. There was a real dividing line between being a television actor and being a film actor. But when (wife) Kyra (Sedgwick) got offered The Closer, it...

Matt Webb Mitovich is an AwardsLine contributor. Looking for a female TV character who’s as fierce in her work life as she is in her (messy) love life? It’s been handled. As Olivia Pope on ABC’s Scandal, Kerry Washington – building on a career that has included Oscar-winning films such as Ray and Django Unchained - stands in the eye of a pop-culture storm, fronting a show that drops jaws with astounding frequency, makes Twitter all atwitter and offers, at long last, a chance for a black woman to win a lead drama actress Emmy. AwardsLine: You have said that your decision was not so much to do TV, but to do a Shonda Rhimes show. Kerry Washington: Even more so, my decision was to do this show. PopMatters raves about Nicole Kidman's performance in "Stoker," argues she's worthy of an Oscar nomination. Oscar producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan defend host Seth MacFarlane against critics who they claim "missed the joke." Hollywood Reporter Matt Webb Mitovich defends Kickstarter donors experiencing a backlash after helping raise $2 million to produce a "Veronica Mars" movie: "No, the 'Veronica Mars' Kickstarters will never see even a fraction of a back-end point if the movie happens to turn a profit. But they will smile knowing that they were a part of something rather historical. A gone-too-soon series was plucked from the ashes not by a struggling network anxious to plug a scheduling hole, but by the very people who loved and were left to mourn it. Alex Kingston (ER, Doctor Who) has been cast on NCIS.
In a November sweeps episode, the actress will play Miranda Pennebaker, a woman of questionable morals, executive producer Gary Glasberg told TV Line's Matt Webb Mitovich, who first reported the casting.
Pennebaker “deals in everything from high end weapons sales to priceless gems. Her connections go all the way up the ladder of D.C. politics, and Gibbs needs her for this very disturbing, emotional case.”
Kingston, who has also appeared on Law & Order: Svu, Private Practice and FlashForward, may even reprise the role at a later date, if Glasberg has his way. He must think pretty highly of her work this fall.

After screening tonight’s Once Upon a Time, in which Grumpy’s real name is revealed (as well as how he got his unfortunate new one), plus previewing the first act of the upcoming Red/Ruby-centric hour, the show’s cast and creators took to the stage at PaleyFest 2012 to dole out the spoilers.

In this week’s episode of Spoiler Alert!, my Ed McMahon — Matt Webb Mitovich — and I are joined by Parks and Recreation funny lady Retta to dish about the celebrity who’s been “cast” as Donna’s cousin; pick apart the alternate-reality episode of Grey’s Anatomy And preview (exclusively!) a particularly disturbing scene from the ABC drama’s upcoming Valentine’s Day episode; reveal the big comeback that promises to shake up The Good Wife; and try to think of words (any words!) that might describe our latest installment of Spoiler Alert Theater.

The one thing about the premiere of my new web series, Spoiler Alert, that doesn’t actually require a spoiler alert: its awesomeness!
Come on, with Community’s irresistibly saucy Yvette Nicole Brown and Ugly Betty’s pretty hilarious Michael Urie as my inaugural guests (along with TVLine’s own Matt Webb Mitovich), it was halfway there from the get-go, right?
Besides, not only do my panelists bring the funny, they also join me in dishing the dirt on Once Upon a Time and Revenge, and try to resist singing along with the sneak peek at Glee’s Michael Jackson episode.

You can’t believe everything you read on the Internet — especially when it comes Glee spoilers — but you can trust TVLine’s scoop about the show’s upcoming Michael Jackson tribute episode slated to air later this month. That’s because our crack team of reporters caught up with several cast members at Sunday’s Television Critics Association bash to get the news straight from the show choir’s mouth:

Chuck‘s series finale is still two months away, but the first (somewhat biased) review is already in — and it’s a rave!
“I predict very few dry eyes,” executive producer and co-creator Josh Schwartz tells TVLine of the spy comedy’s Jan. 27 swan song. “Mine did [well up]; it was really emotional.”
Overall, Schwartz says the episode — titled “Chuck vs. the Goodbye” and penned by series co-creator Chris Fedak — is “really, really great” and serves as the perfect bookend to the show’s against-all-odds five-year run. “I think that every Chuck fan is going to be very satisfied.”

A familiar face is returning to NCIS in January.
One left for dead the last time we saw her.
Sarah Jane Morris will reprise her role as E.J. Barrett, according to TV Line. E.J., who was gunned down in the Season 9 premiere, only to have her body then go missing, will be back for at least one episode.
“Last we saw E.J. Barrett, she was gunned down and left for dead. Then she disappeared!” executive producer Gary Glasberg tells Matt Webb Mitovich of TV Line. “In January we’ll find out what happened.”
Her return brings "answers to unresolved questions, danger, and intrigue ... Remember where we left off at the beginning of the season? Well, here we go, and we’re thrilled to have Sarah Jane back.”
Morris will appear in January, although it's not clear exactly when.

"Sons of Anarchy" ran into a minefield -- literally -- in the episode that aired on FX on Tuesday, Nov. 15. During a raid on the Lobos Sonora cartel, the Samcro outlaw motorcycle club members and their allies wound up surrounded by explosives.
Unfortunately, Tacoma chapter biker Herman Kozik (Kenny Johnson) put a foot wrong and landed on a mine. Declaring, "You gotta be sh****ng me," he was promptly blown into pink mist -- except for the arm that landed on his recently suicidal fellow biker, Juice (Theo Rossi).
Yes, "Soa" killed Kenny.
The creator of "Sons of Anarchy" is Kurt Sutter. He was a writer on FX's "The Shield," which starred Johnson as Lapd Strike Team Detective Curtis "Lem" Lemansky, who died in a grenade blast.
Asked whether Sutter remembered that Johnson had already been blown up in a show he was working on, Johnson tells Zap2it, "Yeah,...
