Arshile Gorky wurde am 15 April 1904 in Armenien geboren. Er ist bekannt für seine Arbeit an Ararat (2002). Er war mit Agnes Magruder verheiratet. Er starb am 21 Juli 1948 in Sherman, Connecticut, USA.
Pioneer of abstract expressionism and favorite painter of Mikhail Vartanov who
shot films on his other 2 favorite Armenian painters: Carzou in 1984
and Minas in 1989 but not the Gorky film, as of yet.
