Justified: City Primeval's finale 'The Question' ends with the shocking return of a past villain and a major cliffhanger. Raylan's retirement might be short-lived as he receives word of Boyd Crowder's prison escape. Boyd's return risks undoing his perfect ending in Justified and raises the question of whether Justified: City Primeval Season 2 will happen.

Justified: City Primeval's finale "The Question" featured the final showdown between Raylan and Clement Mansell, and the shock return of a past villain. "The Question" picks up moments after the previous episode, with Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) and Clement (Boyd Holbrook) being driven by the vengeful Albanians. In revenge for his attack on Skendeer (Alexander Pobutsky), they trap Mansell in the vault, with Raylan being the one to close the door. Despite his hatred of Mansell, this doesn't sit right with Raylan, who returns the next night.

When "Justified: City Primeval" signed off last night, the limited series finale was expected to be the final word on Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant). After all, fans of the straight-shooting, contemplative modern cowboy got six seasons with the character, plus a surprise bonus in the form of the revival series -- an adaptation of an Elmore Leonard story that didn't originally feature Raylan. And isn't that enough? Wouldn't it be greedy for us to ask for more time in this stylish, thrilling world?

Not according to the show itself. Fans of the FX series Justified were fortunate enough to get six prodigious seasons of one of the best neo-Westerns ever put on television from 2010-2015. The show’s critical success was in no small part due to the stellar supporting cast throughout its run. Fans not only gravitated towards Timothy Olyphant’s Kentucky-fried charm as the no-nonsense Raylan Givens, but found a connection with the men and women Raylan worked with, the women he loved, and the larger-than-life outlaws he came across.

The new episodes, which will air sometime in 2021, will address the impact of Black Lives Matter, Covid-19, and the November election on the Bordelon family and their community. The Good Fight will be saying goodbye to attorney Luca Quinn. Cush Jumbo, who originated the role in the mothership series The Good Wife before moving to the CBS All Access spinoff in season 1, is exiting the series ahead of the upcoming fifth season, Deadline has confirmed.

The season 4 storyline for Jumbo’s Quinn was cut short by three episodes due to the Covid-19 production shutdown.

“I have had the most amazing time over the last five years working with Robert, Michelle and the crews of both The Good Wife and The Good Fight,” said Jumbo in a statement provided to Deadline. ‘I will miss them all so much, but am so excited to explore pastures new. Due to the pandemic forcing us to shut down early we weren’t able to wrap up Lucca’s story fully and so I hope if schedules allow I can return next season to do that.

The Good Fight is losing one of its most formidable legal pugilists.

Cush Jumbo, who originated the role of attorney Luca Quinn on The Good Wife before segueing to the CBS All Access spinoff upon its launch in 2017, is departing the series ahead of the recently-ordered Season 5.

Original cast member Delroy Lindo, who has played Adrian Boseman on the CBS All Access drama since its inception, has opted to leave at the end of the upcoming fourth season, TVLine has confirmed. According to Deadline, which first reported the news, Lindo already has his next gig lined up: He’s in talks to star in ABC’s family restaurant drama pilot Harlem’s Kitchen.

This past spring, Julianna Margulies told Deadline that she was offered a guest-star rate for The Good Fight, and that the network didn’t want to shell out for the higher fee she earned on The Good Wife.

“We love Julianna, and there’s a long history there. We wanted her to guest on The Good Fight. There was a different expectation as to what that means. It didn’t work out. We have another project in development with her to star. We’d love to see her on the service in the future,” McNamara said Thursday.

Bid a fond farewell to Rose Leslie, aka lawyer Maia Rindell on the CBS All Access drama The Good Fight. After three seasons of order in the court, she’s not returning for Season 4.

TVLine broke the story out of Comic-Con after speaking to series creators Robert and Michelle King, who told the media outlet that Season 3’s finale was Leslie’s swan song. In that episode, she was sent to Washington, DC to launch a new firm with Michael Sheen’s Roland Blum.

The series has shifted in its tone from its original straight legal drama, and Leslie joins fellow originals Justin Bartha and Erica Tazel as the victims of that pivot.

Leslie is married to Game of Thrones hero Kit Harington. Now, both are hitting the bricks and looking for work.

The Good Fight‘s 10-episode fourth season will arrive next year.

Rose Leslie — who has played legal eagle Maia Rindell since the CBS All Access drama launched three years ago — will not be returning as a series regular for Season 4. Good Fight creators Robert and Michelle King confirmed the news to TVLine Thursday at San Diego Comic-Con, describing the series’ Season 3 finale as Leslie’s “sendoff.” (Watch my interview with the Kings here).

The Good Fight is taking the leap from CBS All Access to CBS for a limited time.

It has been revealed the popular spinoff of The Good Wife will air its first season on the linear broadcast network beginning June 16.

“For three seasons, The Good Fight has been a big success for CBS All Access,” said Kelly Kahl, President, Entertainment for CBS.

“We’re excited to provide our network audience the opportunity to catch up with characters they first fell in love with on ‘The Good Wife,’ as well as introduce new viewers to this outstanding, critically acclaimed drama.”

Actor and comedian David Alan Grier let out a little secret on Saturday. The Native Son star and In Living Color alum is set to guest star on Season 4 of Ava DuVernay’s Queen Sugar.

He took to Twitter and posted an image of a Queen Sugar script with the caption “Shhhhhhhhhhh!!!!” Deadline has confirmed that he will be a guest star but details about his role are being kept under wraps. Ava DuVernay’s Queen Sugar will return for its fourth season on Own Wednesday, June 12 with Erica Tazel and Kendall Clark joining as recurring guest stars and Walter Perez upped to series regular.

The new season also continues the series’ use of an all-female directing team, a “creative initiative” established in the show’s first season by creator/exec producer DuVernay.
