Just because his talk show is over doesn’t mean that Conan O’Brien has had to abandon all of his regular segments. While the Masturbating Bear is unlikely to make a return appearance any time soon, Conan did just make another “Clueless Gamer” video.
“Clueless Gamer,” a staple of TBS’ Conan show, found novice video game user O’Brien routinely teaming up with enthusiastic gamer Aaron Bleyaert (and sometimes a celebrity guest) to try out famous titles ranging from Grand Theft Auto V, to Mario Kart 8, to the shitty E.T. Atari game that was buried in an unmarked mass grave in New Mexico.
For the newest installment, Conan and Bleyaert played a director’s cut of Death Stranding, made by famed video game creator Hideo Kojima. What sets Death Stranding apart from other games that have been featured on the show is that O’Brien is actually in the game.

Los Feliz gastropub Messhall Kitchen has a new (and Hollywood-approved) item on its menu this November: a film festival.
It’s one that couldn’t happen anywhere else. The fest features eight short films, all of which were produced and filmed entirely at Messhall over an eight week period, accomplished by talent that is either on staff or frequently seated at restaurant tables.
Messhall server Jon Bangle and bartender Andrew Pack, both creative multi-hyphenates in their own right, conceived of the fest after surveying the scene and noting the potential of its talent pool. Their plan was met with overwhelming interest and they were able to produce the shorts (seven comedies and one drama) over an eight-week period by leaning into overnight shoots when Messhall was closed. Add to that small crews and no budgets, which seems like an insurmountable task but impossible...

“Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert” was one of the many winners on day two of the Creative Arts Emmys Sunday, taking the award for Outstanding Variety Special (Live), which resulted in its producers John Legend, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Weber getting the final trophy needed to become Egot members.
The trio, who now are among the few performers who have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony, celebrated the five Emmy wins in total for “Superstar” over the two-day award ceremony that honors the best and the brightest in reality television, variety series and nonfiction programming, among others.
Other standout moments included three awards for “Queer Eye” (a reboot after being away for 11 years) and six posthumous trophies for Anthony Bourdain and his CNN show “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown.”

Conan O'Brien's web series "Clueless Gamer" got a vintage twist this week: He played selections from the dawn of video games on an Atari 2600 console.
Accompanied by his ever-present web producer Aaron Bleyaert, Conan played decades-old titles like "Space Invaders" and the fabled "E.T." video game, often named the worst video game of all time. Check out the clip above to see Conan's reaction to these dusty old games.

Though The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien went off the air on January 22nd, Friday was the last day for most of the show's employees. According to former Tonight Show blogger Aaron Bleyaert, it was the day that they had to pass in their parking passes, office keys, NBC badges, etc.
Bleyaert is still working until the 19th but went in on Friday to say some goodbyes and take photos of the offices being packed up and the elaborate set being destroyed. Andy Richtor posted an official-looking Eviction Notice from the Board of Health on his door.
Here are a couple photos that Bleyaert took of the greenroom and deconstructed set. Head on over to his blog to see more of the depressing images.
