Jake Apricity Hetherington

Jake Apricity Hetherington is a 9-year-old classically trained treble/soprano and actress from Vancouver, BC. She is set to make history in February 2025 as the youngest performer to play the lead in the Canadian premiere of The Little Prince at Pacific Opera Victoria, appearing in 24 out of 26 scenes of this groundbreaking production.
She plays the role of 'Morgan' on #1 Netflix series Virgin River (Season 5 & 6) and can be seen as 'Katie' on Hallmark's hit movie Three Wiser Men and a Boy.
By the age of 8, Jake had already won gold medals at Level 3 and 4 Voice with the Royal Conservatory of Music, secured a recurring role on Virgin River, and performed in multiple operas with Vancouver Opera and UBC Opera.
At 9, her achievements have only grown. She won gold medals in all four of her singing performances at the Kiwanis Festival and completed studies at the Broadway Artist Alliance in New York City. She was hired by Vancouver Opera to perform in A Midsummer Night's Dream (February 2023) and in Carmen (April 2024). She has also studied under Nancy Hermiston at UBC Opera for her role as Frog in The Cunning Little Vixen (November 2023) and in Cendrillon (January 2024).
Jake's first title role came at age 7 in the operatic performance of Amahl and the Night Visitors (December 2022). She loves singing, acting, dance, fashion, piano, and her passion for the arts continues to drive her to new heights in both opera and acting.
